Of course, it depends on the lady...  but unless a guy has plenty of time on his hands, and is willing to spend a day or a weekend, you're probably not going to attract the casual hobbyist.  Any chance you might include Boston on your itinerary?  Besides, no gentleman would take your funcy!

No way will I drive over 40 minutes just to hobby.

Early in my hobby career I went into downtown Boston a lot.  Did not like the drive or finding/paying parking.  So now I do near 100% in the suburbs, 10-20 min drives, plenty of free and easy parking.  That's my preference and it is working well for me.  

Then again...this week I am seeing a girl over 1000 miles from home.  Had another reason to make the trip near where she is located.  Made sure I had the time to see her, and was flexible enough with my schedule to fit into her availability.  Will post full review when I get home.

You of course are a destination! But speaking for myself, I only travel to NYC on photoshoot assignments in the fashion & editorial business and am 100% scheduled during those times. Hobbies don't mix alas!

I have done so to see Janet Mason. No regrets at all.

I do travel a lot for work.  I do also see the local ladies where I am if I find someone that interests me and I can make the time. Arrive a day early, stay a day later, etc.

I have also traveled to RI & Conn to see someone.

... for a 3-hour double session. Just so happened the 2 ladies that I wanted to meet for a long time were hosting in NYC together

The best thing is when you travel out of state for work (especially if it's a trip you aren't looking forward to-oh, say, Albany) and the stars have aligned and the person you see here happens to be in the same city at the same time. Suddenly the trip prospects have gotten infinitely better. Happened to me in February. So nice a change of outlook that was!

I don't have a problem driving 1-2 hours one way to see someone specific however. I drive all over New England for work anyway.

I travel Boston-NYC often. My office is in NYC and I am on Amtrak twice a month, staying 1-3 nights per visit, mostly in midtown. Last year, I was there weekly.  

I haven't posted on here in a while, and I usually prefer knowledgeable and accommodating FBSM providers as a rule, but I've indulged in more when needs aren't being met. For my situation, it is unlikely I'd travel to NYC just for someone who tickled my fancy.  

As others state, trips tend to be overbooked. As such, scheduling and reliability are paramount, Second, I'd prefer to see someone regularly, who you can get to know. Hence, I value an established relationship(s) for personal companionship, with women who will make time for someone who is reliable in return
