are you really 15, dingus? you must be, otherwise you'd remember the heartbreak of 67, 75, 77, 78, 86, 90, and 95 (oh, i'm sure there's more but '95 is when i had the partial lobotomy to remove the 'redsox' area of my brain)

anyway, there's no point to, nor satisfaction from, celebrating in front of yankee fans. they just keep chanting their mantra ("it's only april/may/june/july/august/september") if the sox take the division, the yankee fan will promise you a playoff or series choke; and if the sox go 162-0 and sweep all postseason play, they will simply look smug and remind you of their 8 bazillion series rings.

on the other hand, here's some fum yankee trivia: what major SS-3B combo is currently outhitting arod and captain derek?

answer: they all are.

This is our Century!!!  Have my Yaz bread right here and will donate 25 dollars to the Jimmy Fund!  As a long time Sox fan, I pick and choose when to cheer.  I don't choose to live in the past....I always focus on the matter at hand and look to the future (ignorance is bliss).  And as long as the Sox are ahead of that team from New York, I will crow....and if and when my beloved Sox shall fall, I'll cry the cry of the might Sox fan....."Wait till next year"

Thanks for the warm welcome Clarence37

i'd love to stop living in the past. but every time i try, i find myself back in a little irish pub, watching the 6th game of the '86 series with 30 or 40 of my closest friends...

my roommate makes arrangements to buy a dozen bottles of the pub's finest champagne (j.roget, i believe) and instructs our waitress to pop a cork when the sox clinch the game. so the ball goes through buckner's legs and everybody in the bar is yelling and howling; our clueless waitress thinks "this is it!" and starts popping corks.

oh, well. welcome to the neighborhood anyway! :-)
