Should'nt those nosy reporters be paying
attention to more important issues like
the rampant corruption in this state?
Did anybody see the segment Ch. 7 had last night at 11:00 where they filmed a sting? I didn't get to see it or record it and I wanted to know what it was all about. I saw a commercial where they advertised "Eleven arrests in three nights," so it must have been do in conjunction with the boys in blue.
I was half watching it. They talked about the first official stings of this kind on Cape Cod. The girls were Craigslisters working out of motels and that cheezy direct door to an ourside balcony. I didn't see any major hotels shown or any mention of "real" hotels. Basically, that's not this crowd, right?

It was in Hyannis or that vacinity. Involved Barnstable police.
Not much to it, but here is the report.
At the top you can see the video.
i get incensed when i see this crap. Aren't there crimes where people get hurt? Drugs? Theft?
it's SOOO old.
Tell us what you really think.
LOL
Every once in a while you tend to forget that the Pilgrims escaped to America to avoid religious prosecution, but then imposed their own moral stamp on America.
Why is it illegal to sell something, but perfectly fine to give it away for free?
But sometimes people DO get hurt. One of the women busted had left her 17 month old child in the car while she went up to the guy's room. Of course, the child wasn't left alone. He was being looked after by a guy who is a level three sex offender. God knows this poor kid probably has this bastard for a baby sitter every time his mom goes out to work. Well, not anymore, DSS took him.
I'm not a big fan of the sensationalized BS that we have to watch on television most of the time in regards to the hobby that we all know and love. This stuff is different however. These are desperate women who don't screen and are not conducting themselves with even the slightest amount of care or discretion. Sure this was a sting but there are real customers, granted not very discriminating guys, calling these women all the time and settling for what they have to offer. It's the seedy, ugly side of prostitution and it is the stuff that is drawing way too much attention to the hobby in general and making it harder for all of us.
Regardless of where a man choses to get his relief, whether it's from craigslist or a high end provider it should be his choice...in these times of economic strife while police departments are laying off officers in droves, they choose to focus all this effort on two consenting adults who both know what they are doing and are doing it behind closed doors. It's total bullshit, they should be focusing their attention on serious crime. It sickens me to think that the public is being short changed with services and that's all these cops can think of doing.
LE chooses to conduct this stings largely due to public opinion and pressure. They go after the low hanging fruit just as they always have. The reason they go after Craig's list is the same reason they go after streetwalkers-because these idiots choose to conduct their business right under the nose of the public and the media with absolutely no discretion.
I'm all in favor of two consenting adults being able to do whatever they want privately and discretely. The PUBLIC of which you speak has seems to have a problem with it.
So if you are a provider with a brain you stay away from there.
...is providers not screening. There are many legitimate ladies, some right here in Boston, who use CL on occasion to advertise availability. There is nothing wrong with that as long as they still screen. Yes, hopping into your car and driving to a strange motel to see a guy who's name you probably haven't even asked IS stupid. That stupidity however is on the woman who indulges in that behavior, not the venue that she chooses to promote herself on.
I'll even go further that it doesn't help to ask for provider references and then not check them. Trust me guys give fake references. There is a post right on this page about it. Guys also use fake names, drives me nuts. Providers don't follow through which tells me they put their value of their life at less than a few hundred bucks that's the sadest thing of all.
There is a loser who has been running around the legal and newbie boards for a week now trying to get advice and opinions on using fake ID's and fake names...These idiots don't seem to realize that a woman who screens is making it safer for both herself and her clients.
Gotta agre with Bostonguy57 on this mess
