Wrong time to hobby?

Good morning,  
I was looking forward to coming to Boston on a business trip.  I am sorrry that your community is going through this.  As a potential client and fairly new to the hobby, is it the wrong time to be involved.  Sorry if this is improper.

Not the wrong time at all as long as you exercise common sense and discretion.  Stay away from CL, stick with well-reviewed and established ladies or agencies and be prepared to give them the screening information that they require and you will do just fine.

I'm with you Bostonguy! I know it's a bit scary right now but if you do your homework, (assuming both sides realize what that means I hope) then you will most likely have a great time.

Considering what happened in Worcester how do we know that there won't be a team of police officers at the hotel that we see a provider at?  I'm not taking the chance.  Wait until the guy gets caught is my advice.

But do you actually understand what happened in Worcester? It was a CL sting set up to bust idiots who don't screen and don't look for reviewed legit providers. If they catch this guy tomorrow the CL stings will not stop.

Go ahead, wait until the guy is caught and THEN answer a CL ad for a girl with no reviews and no history.  If you think the odds of a sting will be any lower after this guy is caught you are kidding yourself.

A terrible tragedy is causing a panic among people and clouding a very real issue that existed before the events of last week and will continue to exist long after.  CL is a very dangerous place for anyone in the hobby to be shopping or advertising.

Thank you for the reply.  Really appreciate it.  Figured I would just use TER to check the agencies.  Don't want to disrespect your independants, just don't know who they are.

Well you can always use TER to check out the independents as well.  I have seen a few and I expect to see them again once I have the time again.

With what has been going on with that robbery/murder, expect to be screened quite rigorously by some.  Safety first, as always.

The problem will be for new guys trying to get through screening.  Nobody now wants to see "new" clients...for obvious reasons.
