Just a thought...I know I have asked not to be reviewed before.

Face it, if the provider gets to decide when a review gets written, that defeats the whole purpose of this system.

Reviews ought to be just that, "REVIEWS".

They shouldn't be ammo, revenge, payback or payola (if you are younger than 30, payola is also known as "pay for play")

Just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Lilly, If needed, I am ready for my spanking on this one (evil grin).

Loarthan

Because of LE I cross reference phone numbers in listings with reviews here. If there's no history on the provider, no comments at all, I figure too risky for me. And believe me, I can see beyond what's said. 5 reviews and one says I should have stayed at home just means that guy probably was a fool.

I agree with Loarthan.  In fact, IMHO, a review not only is beneficial to the hobbyists, but I see it as a great marketing tool for providers.  I am very, very, leery of seeing a provider without a review.  Granted, sometimes you just have to "take one for the team", but when possible, I try and avoid nonreviewed providers.  In addition, hobbyists should try and be honest, accurate, and concise in their reviews.  This will help greatly in maintaining the validity and value of the review system.

But I think you're wrong...  mostly...

Ladies have every right to pursue this business discreetly.  Accordingly, a lady should be free -- without further explanantion! -- to request that her clients not post reviews.  And I believe that any client who is a gentleman should honor that request.

The only exception would be in situations in which there is blatant misrepresentation...  a bait-and-switch, cash-and-dash, or similar complete and utter lack of service.  Mere YMMV is well within the range of acceptable and should not be used as an excuse to trigger a review.

Just my two cents...

Have fun, MG

I agree that a lady should be able to ask and expect - if her services were not, as you said, misrepresented in any way - that her privacy be maintained (as she will be maintaining her clients').  What goes on  behind closed doors should STAY there - again, unless as you said, there is a real ethical reason to publicly divulge it!

I HATE it when a gentleman who has seen me feels it necessary to post explicit reviews about the time we spent together.  I don't mind at all a review that says he enjoyed himself without getting graphic (Isn't that Penthouse's job?), and I would even prefer one that said he was less than thrilled to a really detailed review.  It just seems so crude and tasteless to me to have my every move, look, sound, and action posted for the whole world to read about....there must be a thread of my Catholic upbringing and schooling still hanging on, but I never let THAT interfere with my actions in bed (or in the tub, or on the balcony, or .....sigh.  Where are the HARD men when you need one?).

I agree that if a provider explicitly asks NOT to be reviewed, and barring a very poor service, that request should be respected.  Otherwise, I think it would be a disservice, to other hobbyists, if a review is not submitted. (see my previous post).

Also, I too feel uncomfortable with a "blow by blow" review.  I tried submitting a review that adequately described my tremendous satisfaction with the provider and service, but it was rejected for not being detailed enough.  It's a tough balance, but I like the idea of keeping most of the "explicit details" just between the provider and I.

I agree that it should not be grafic but reviews are the purpose of this site is it not?

No one ever said that a review had to be an explicit, blow-by-blow (sorry, had to put that in here) description of everything that transpires during a session.  On the contrary, a value assessment (good or bad) and even a praise-worthy commentary is sufficient.

Most gentlemen (including myself) don't write reviews with graphic detail that is embarassing to the provider.  I have written a detailed review once in my time here, but only with the approval of the provider in question.

On the whole, I agree with you both when it comes to keeping the intimate details to the memories of the few, but I still contend that the qualitative components of the review should be up to the hobbyst and not the provider.

Again, just my opinion and I could be wrong.

Regards,
Todd L.

You are right loarthan.  If it was up to the provider, the only reviews would be 9 or 10.  That's the whole point of this thing I thought.  Its to help others who want to venture.  And I think Matue G is just kissing up.

I hope you like your cheeks cherry red...Now bend over!!

So you really believe the dribble you write,or do you scribble your dribble just to annoy me?

I've read your TWO big reviews, soo..

- either you do not review the majority of women you see, OR

- you see nobody and just write this vapid crap just to annoy me.

Which is it?

I have seen her and she has requested that NO explicit reviews be posted. Be assured that she does provide a GFE encounter by the Saint Bart Scale (SBS).

There's no sense in debating her expressed wishes and I refuse to betray her. My word is my bond - with everyone.

Okay, I get the drift.  But how about a short post such as "Really  great GFE", etc..

I hate searching and coming up with nothing...for something I truely want. I think though if she was not great, someone would come out and say that...at least privately. If I were you...I would just go for it.At least your curiousity will be subsided.Again...just a thought.
Good Luck

Logan,

I do not have a problem with providers that do not want reviews.  We at TER respect their privacy.

On the other hand, if they want their privacy, they should not advertise here.

You can't have your cake and eat it to.

Staff put it well.If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I don't think porno type reviews are necessary.I'm also annoyed by those who have to critique every little fold, bulge and line on a lady.)I do need to know whether a lady is going to be a true GFE though. To me this means kissing and affection. In other words, true warmth. Others may require a few acronyms. If a lady wants to take advantage of this forum then she has to expect to be reviewed. As long as the review is respectful and in good taste, I don't see a problem.
Contrary to what some may think, this is the The Erotic Review not The Grammar& Spelling Review.

.I don't know Logan but if you search the other board she does have reviews.  I think the fact that she does not want explicit reviews is her right.  Lets face it, it is not like she is asking guys to write a review, but only not to write an explicit one.  I personally do not see any harm in that.  I personally don't think that it is fair that she be banned from this board for not wanting reviews.  I believe as long as she has a website she should be able to post. The reviews she has are not at her request so they have to be accurate.  So if you are interested in seeing her maybe you should check out the other board

Staff, I don't see any response, or any post in this thread from Logan. I just read on the 'other board' that in fact she tried to post a response to this thread but found that she had been banned. Has she been banned? If so, under what premise?
