Where will providers post without backpage.  The Internet cannot be censored.  What website will go to now?

Backpage has been censored.  You can not read escort ads on their website any longer.  Whatever happened to free speech?

I talked to someone in customer service with Eros and they wanted a photo ID to post there so I passed.  They said they were making sure all girls were of age and not using illegal language so their site wouldn't get taken down too.

They're cracking down on everything slowly and one by one it seems.

...so not a big loss to me, but it is a disturbing trend that could have greater ramifications. Didn't the same thing happen to craigslist years ago? Before my time, but I recall someone mentioning it once.

I do feel bad for the girls who advertised there because they didn't know of any better websites. I hope they can figure out an alternative.

Just a huge pain in the ass imo I will never understand some shit

The section is packed with escort ads, just how long it will last is a good question

What I would be more worried about is all the scam posters on BP coming over to TER and making this place a mess.

Also Providers are going to have some unpleasant experiences with this to, when all those guys who use BP do make it over here, are they in for a rude awakening when they are asked for screening info,  higher prices and so on.

Ladies good luck with that shit show.

Just my thoughts

escortcafe: Only has about 3 pages of ads and most are out of date, old reviews. only a few well known local ladies

cityvibes has about 10 ads by a quick glance, not much more, I think about 2 local ladies are on it.

eros, getting better, but still has a descent about of fake ads.

I think any one might be OK to use, but for you own sake, DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!!

I advertise on eros, and you have to jump through hoops to get photos approved etc..I am also authenticated, which means I had to producey real info...look for the red dot under the ads, all those ladies had to prove their identity...not sure how it's possible for fake ads to sneak through? They are pretty strict and it's also a bit pricey to advertise so I think that would weed out the bots if in fact they are on there

Her phone is going crazy now with guys calling her.. she is trying to figure out how to handle it.. take advantage of it but to not be stupid dumb about the obvious hazards with a stranger who has no presence on TER or anywhere else..

Isn't the real victim in all this, "Children of the Night" - the privately-funded non-profit that helps rescue children caught up in the sex trade?  They are bemoaning the closing down of BP due to the fact that it resulted in a wealth of information which enabled authorities to track down victims and perpetrators of the child sex trade.  But apparently our Government thinks that infringing on BP's 1st amendment rights is somehow taking the "moral high ground."

I agree with HankTman and disagree with LE going after Eros.

You need a ID verification to advertise on Eros. Not the case with BackPage.
If BackPage had the same guidelines, I doubt they would be under so much heat. Just my opinion...

This is actually quite frightening because without Backpage- where do you think law enforcement will focus their efforts next?
