I need help.  I've never been to CT and am planning a trip in early May.  

I've discovered there are two airports (Bradley & Westchester) located very North and South of each other.  

Need help finding a city / area.  I'm looking to stay somewhere within 30 min of NY and 45 minutes of the aiport (would that be Westchester?)  I definitely want to stay in CT and not NY!!!  

Can anyone suggest a city that is in a safe, preferably beautiful with easy access to stuff like kinkos, a drug store, a bit touristy, etc.  

I'm totally lost and confused.  If you are familiar with the Copley area in Boston - that's what I'm looking for or at least something similar.
