I realize things have changed with Covid but even before that with FOSTA. However I always found TER to be a wealth of analytical data to make an informed decision of selecting a provider, not only for the metrics of performance comparative to value but also for safety reasons.
That being said, as of recent this industry has been harder to navigate from a consumer perspective. I blame some of this on ourselves, as reviewers for not doing a better job relaying more accurate information.
Recently a provider piqued my interest, upon research, some of her scores were above par.
Now keep in mind, on TER if you go to review a provider in the “Performance" category anything above a 7, a disclaimer will pop up and give a warning, and I quote.
"You have selected a score higher than 7. In order to qualify for extra points, services giving additional points must have been provided during the session. The services which add an additional point are: Kiss with Tongue, Blow job without condom, more than one guy, really bi session or anal.”
Why is that when I reached out to this "well reviewed provider" to book a session, she texted me quoting her service for $500 with no GFE. I asked, bluntly if this meant a BBBJ, she said everything is covered for safety reasons (which is fine).
However, why is it this particular provider has received scores in the performance category that are 8 and above when TER clearly states the criteria of the point system for this category?
I just feel like maybe we need to go back and have a discussion about the metrics of the review system so we as hobbyist can make better informed decisions in this industry.
Fraternally,
Peter
