I know I don't post that often on this board, but I have to say something on this one.  Hogan, what exactly are you talking about?  Have you ever been to Fenway Park and heard the fans mercilessly boo their own players?  The only person who's exempt from booing is Nomar.  EVERYBODY else hears it.  There's a reason Kim gave the crowd the finger.  It wasn't because they were cheering him.  
Sure, there are plenty of fans who want to make excuses about poor playing, but that's the same for any city.  I'm sure there are a TON of Yankee apologists (look at how all of you are whining about an inconsequential home run).  And how do the Red Sox NOT deserve to win?  How do you explain that one?  Is it because they buy their championships?  Oh wait, that's the Yankees.  BTW, spend some time with the spelling/grammar checker.  Your posts are borderline incoherent, but definitely nauseating.

Well Congrats to all the sox fans they had some real strong hitting last night

the only call i found un fair was the hommer that hit the foul pole
if you looked closley at the replay a Fan interfered with it
that should have been a ground rule doubblethe yanks are great at comming back

The ball hit the foul poll plain and simple. That's a HR. The guys hand was directly in front of the foul poll so even if it managed to hit the guys hand it was still in front of the foul poll and that according to baseball rules is fan interference and still a HR.

Way to whine about the homerun. (It was a solo HR, they lost by 3!)

Of course, a Sox fan would have had enough sense not to interfer with a ball that might hurt his team. ;)

All you Redsox  fans you are right the yankees were pathetic last night

the diffrence between Yankees fans and red sox fans is the yankee fans let people know when the yanks suck all you ever hear from the sox fans is " well they had a bad night of well too many injuries and so on

dont get to cocky all you redsox fans because the sox will fall face down on their faces remember the yankees are great under pressure and from behind

Col. Hogan, I too am a long time Yankees and Cubs fan. However, I just have this feeling that this is the year of the Red Sox and Cubs..... It only seems right that they both get to the World Series. It'll be another century before the stars are aligned in a way for this to happen again.

We don't need to be greedy, we'll be back next year.

: ) But, I admire your grit, Custer must have felt the way that you are when he was surrounded.

I agree the cubs do deserve to go  but not the sox they have not earned anything. ever hear this expression "so close but so far"

when the yankees suck the yankees fans are not afraid to tell them look back at 1961 when maris and mantle were competing for the babes home run record.

maris sucked the fans let him know it hell he was loosing his hair

I hate the redsox. They are cry babies just like there fans.
they have bad upper management especially when Kraft was in charge he would not let the lower management do there job.
thats how it has always been in the Red Sox organazation and people know it.

i would have more respect for the sox but they have no balls.
and they will not win this series.

they havent earned it. the yankees have more records and have dominated the MLB for nearly 100 years come on look for your self. ok the yankees payroll is 180 million so what maybe if the sox had better management they could be on top.

Sports are an integral part of our region. As I write this, there are 25 threads on the first page of this board. Five threads are devoted exclusively to the Red Sox. Nineteen threads deal exclusively with the hobby and one thread (Hogan's/ARedsoxFan's bet) combines the two. The Red Sox threads stand out because they generate so many replies. Would people prefer that I censor that? I've asked people before to try to keep the Sox talk to one thread when possible but I understand that each game will generate another thread. I won't let the board become TSoxR but I don't think that's happening.

We have an online community here. Our mutual interests go beyond the hobby. One option you or any other member has if there is not enough hobby talk to suite your taste is to contribute a new thread of your own.

Thanks thirsty very nicely put. The Sox playing in this series is like the biggest thing going for the city of boston and we are a community with many different agendas
