For several years I have been purchasing prepaid Visa Cards to pay my TER membership fees. I'm sure many or even most of you hobbyists to the same. The problem is that the last 2 cards I purchased would not accept the TER charge. Although I can't remember the message of decline I believe it has to do with the type of business TER is and/or possibly where it's located. The brand of the cards is "Vanilla" and it seems that all the retailers carry the same brand as I can find nothing else anywhere.

Is anyone else having this issue? Am I missing something? Does anyone have a suggestion? I certainly can't use my personal or corporate cards.

because your payment is going out of the country. I used a good ole  Chase Visa and every time I made a payment I would get a phone call to ask if it was legit. Then I hit auto renew (accidentally) and after the first phone call they stopped calling.

I had stop the auto renew in order to use up my free days. If you continue to pay auto you will never get to use them.

Does TER still use the TrustCash system?  See older discussions on Newbie Forum: "New way to pay anonymously: TrustCash"

February 27th and it worked fine as a charm, as it has since they began to offer it. Would never go any other way for security, safety, and total discretion. No electronic or paper trail anywhere unless you're really, really stupid. But then again I've been known to screw up on occassion with other things. But it does appear to be quite reliable and safe.

Been using this option for about two years, incredibly easy after your first time, zero paper trail, fast activation, completely anonymous. Actually even if they started taking the pre-paid cards again I would still go this route.

I too got the out of the country thing & another time the zip code where I purchased the Visa pre paid didn't line up with my original billing zip code on file. I made a phone call to Visa and it got straightened out. Caused a delay but not a big problem.

I did have a fraud problem on another site that was "drip-billing" my CC. Various small charges, but like 6-10 per month. Usually in the $2.95- $7.95 range. I don't check my statements all that much but over 4 months is totaled to about $320. Sham on me for not being on top of it & using my personal card, but lesson learned and only use anonymous options.
