Sigh. I wrote to Bethany a few months ago asking if she'd ever be interested in coming back. She did not write back. But I know that she is doing what she loves, i.e. helping creatures in need and giving of the same kindness and generosity that made her such an ardent lover. We've been getting a lot of glamorous model types lately but you're right, Bethany was truly sui generis.

I walk down the street in any major city and suffer whiplash from swinging my head around to catch a second glimpse of some beautiful woman who could easily be a Provider. In the supermarket or the mall it's more of the same. And many Providers I've seen are just beautiful women who are indistinguishable from the rest of beautiful I wonder about walking - and ogling - down the street.
