but those are NY fans in the stands and the Jets' website is the newyorkjets.com, if I'm not mistaken. For the purposes of this conversation, the ONLY important thing is that NY fans think of them as THEIR teams and THEY are suffering. (as they should) Ask any shell shocked New Yorker, and he'll tell you those are the New York J-E-T-S, and the New York football Giants. I doubt those New York fans take any solice in the distinction you made. Ha Ha Ha, suffer New Yorkers!

Seriously, what matters most is that their most important media market is the NYC media market, that makes them New York teams. State lines are secondary to media market areas.

Ya know.....on an earlier message forum I gave a consoling message to the Rad Sox fans after the tough Game-7 loss in the ALCS....and now I'm sorry as hell I did it!!

Why??? Because the SOX ARE SO OBSESSED WITH THEIR OWN MISERY, THAT THE ONLY THRILLS THEY CAN GET ARE LIVING VICARIOUSLY THROUGH OTHER TEAMS SUCCESSES!! THAT IS THE ABSOLUTEL ULTIMATE IN BITTERNESS!!

Hey, we lost....it's never easy to lose...but I think every Yankee fan is tipping their cap to the Marlins and Josh Beckett (who..if he avoids injury, could become the best pitcher in the game..he's that damn good). But we can still be proud of all that the team has accomplished..not just this year..but over the past 8 years. We'll have great memories that will last a lifetime!!

Finally, we have management not content with being a runner up... from now on it's "Cowboy up!" Tough day for all you N.Y. droids, how yer Giants doin'?  ... and the J-E-T-S??? Win with Vinnie in 03! Pennington won't start, but he will play. (I can't say anything bad about that kid) Too little, too late, though. For this season, change that chant to C-H-U-M-P-S!

Yes the Yanks lost. We will have to console ourselves with our FOUR titles in eight years, six pennants, seven division titles, and the unquestioned title of best franchise EVER in the history of professional sports. We don't win every year...just alot.
The Sox? Career years all around, and the manager still gets fired the day after the World Series. Amazing.

See you all next year. Think it will be this close again?
