If the provider is late she should be in touch with you by phone.  Make sure to clarify you expect the full hour (or whatever you had planned).  Or, agree in advance on a shorter appointment if necessary.

I have simply "re-booked" my appointment for later than originally planned...more than a few times.  I have also canceled under the same circumstances, due to scheduling difficulties, or if the girl is not feeling her best.

If the girl is not answering the phone, I might call a few more times, but also start calling my "plan B" appointment. If you have tried 3 times (and left messages (if her phone is taking messages)) you have no further obligation to the first girl, in fact she owes you an explanation at that point.

If you cannot get plan B rolling, it's up to you how long to wait.  Have a magazine to read?  Are you in a location with nice looking girls walking by?  Stay for a while and enjoy the scenery.  I have done all of the above.

I just wanted to get an idea of from people how long a hobbyist should be expected to wait if a provider is running late.  I'm directing this discussion about providers being late because it seems the general rule is that if a hobbyist is late, he eats that time.  However, if a provider is running late, generally the hobbyist is responsible for adjusting his schedule to suit the provider.

I've had several appointments scheduled where the provider either couldn't start on time for an incall or couldn't arrive on time for an outcall.  I wait, like the good little hobbyist that I am, but at some point my window of opportunity is going to shut and my absence is going to be noticed.  But, I don't want to cancel and have the provider get upset with me and either call me a NCNS or not schedule with me again.

So, how long should a hobbyist be exptected to wait for an appointment to start if the provider is late?  And, as a follow up, what have been your positive/negative experiences from you cancelling on account of a provider being late?

Answer, i'd wait

However, I'm not sure all the ladies realize the Hobbyists' time has some value as well.
Perhaps there should be some reflection on that point as well.

I'd be intereted in seeing some comments

Contemplate!

If she is keeping you informed, make a decision based on how your day or evening is scheduled.

If she is not keeping you informed 15-20 minutes might be an appropriate wait.

By the way part of the contemplation should be your own needs/wants for the session.

I have to say... I have never had this problem. I have been late but was careful to keep in touch with the provider and to apologize profusely. I have had providers who were running late but they simply extended the time to cover it. I have gone so far as to wait at a location for a provider, have her call to tell me she would be late only to then cancel. That was irritating but I suppose it happens to the providers all the time so I can't complain about one experience.

Hey Dingalingus! Hope you are well!

This is really a case by case basis and hopefully people are courteous of each others time and stay in close contact. As for the comment above, Providers (most) are respectful and aware that your time is also valuable.

I have been late, (which I have proudly say I havent done in some time) I have had others late but as long as my time is flexible, I can usually accomodate. If there isnt flexible time available, I try to reschedule. Either way, If he is late, or I am late, the time requested is the time spent. I do not "shave" 15 minutes off the hour because the hobbiest is running late, nor should the provider leave at the assumed end time when she is tardy.

So, To answer your question of how long should you wait, I say as long as you can (provided that you are in contact) and if there isnt any contact 25 minutes.

Good luck and I hope you were either able to see her or can reschedule. . . . . things happen :)
