About Screening, you will have to find a newbie friendly provider, and go thru her screening process. Not to painful, but may require showing some form if ID.
Most ladies have their donations list their website, it might be under different name like Gift, Consideration, or something like that.
As for places to look, I would stay away from Backpage, Granted some great ladies do advertise there, your most likely going to get sub par provider and not have a good time.
TER has an Ad page for all the cities, this is a great place to look, you will see who is available and if you are a VIP member of TER you will be able to see their reviews. All the info you need in one spot.
P411 is another good spot to check out, it will give you links to reviews and let you know if they are Newbie friendly.

One other site is named after the Greek god of Love (hint) but that is another site that you have to be careful with.
The one thing to remember is do your research.

Humble advice would be to check p411 for providers comfortable with newbies.
Beyond that, I think some providers will be more understanding than it would seem on websites, provided you are honest and transparent. I strongly recommend being both.

I would reach out to several and explain the situation. If she's lost, move on. I would not wait until the last minute. Being that they're going to have to be creative, be prepared to get chummy with the lady who can screen you.
Make sure that she has a good reputation, and go from there.
