There are certainly areas I've learned to avoid

As a provider doing mostly outcalls, there are certainly areas I've learned to avoid - both for my (and my assistant/driver's) safety, and because, strangely, certain areas are more prone to clients pulling a no-show-no-contact or something similarly creepy.

Is it similar for men travelling to incalls?

Most of downtown Boston ("Boston proper") seems super safe these days, though

City Hall, The Moakley Court House, and the Boston Police Department/Headquarters.
