The Darkest Day.

A thousand miles away
a heart still beats
but the quick mind
and gentle humor
of a man much loved
will never be heard again.

There is no flight
swift enough
to turn back the clock
to undo the done
but a prayer exists
that I may hold his hand
one last time
and whisper to him
that I love him.

I cannot express
in sentences
what my broken heart feels
in pieces
How do you let go of
your soul
and yet still desire
to breathe?

Please respect my privacy these next few days.  I will return as soon as I am able.

Juliane,

I'm sorry I don't really know you, but I wanted to tell you something.  A Father's love for his little girl, never dies, never, regardless of what has or has not occurred in life between them.  To a father, the little girl never really grows up, and we always see them as they were at about 5 years old.  Believe me, he already knows how much you love him, he always knew.  I hope and pray you get your wish, but if not, fret not, for he is already holding your hand in his soul.....

God Bless and God's Speed.  We are all praying for you.

Losing a loved one is never easy. Just keep in mind he is in a better place where pain and suffering is no longer an option.

All the best dear. You are always in our thoughts -- at least mine. :(

Jules,

You are in my thoughts.  Take good care of yourself.

Juliane
We've never met but your expression of love, sorrow and loss are achingly powerful. As the father of two daughters I know the intensity of the love both have for each other.

Your poetry says much about you...wonderful.

Marc

Similar  experience.
I hope you make it back in time.
My best to you Sweetie.
