The forces in this world that fuel uprisings in the 'hood (e.g., in Ferguson and Baltimore) have no tolerance for any 'personal responsibility' philosophy. It was time to get Cosby.

Some of his old girlfriends were easily located and were inspired to come forward. That started an avalanche.  

Historically, with those girls Cosby never resorted to rape. He didn't need to. He was a star, and he had the drugs. The air was already sexually supercharged.

I always get little suspicious when people that should have no problems with acquiring both sex and power get accused by those who'd be likely to give them both of some sort of sins.

His relatively rich and famous wife's silence and apparent not one complaint to the police all through their marriage is telling too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Nightly News programs on the broadcast networks slow-roll reporting on the allegations against Cosby? I recall that the broadcast networks didn't go ballistic on Cosby until right about the time Ferguson happened.  

Yes, CNN (on cable) had advanced the Cosby story aggressively back in November – but that's not ten years earlier.

I never said no crimes were committed. Consider the drugs. Consider the ages of some of the girls.

People who do that have issues that go far beyond sex drive. We've seen it locally too with a prominent young lawyer who was accused of similar crimes after being named on of People's sexiest guys. They say rape is about power and not about sex. They should be giving Lena Dunham the same treatment.

I think you maybe confusing news with editorials and advertising.  There is very little unbiased reporting available.  One needs to apply Kentucky windage to "News" reports.

Even if he did what they accuse him to do I don't see how this could be about power at all. He could've taken most of these ladies willingly, after seeing an interview with one of them I have no doubt there. Also in regards to the whole concept of rape. I'm sorry but I fail to see how drugging somebody to have sex with them can be described by the same term as twisting their arms, smacking them around or even worse and physically imposing yourself on them? It kind of loses the sense of proportion (like with way too many politician nowadays calling their opponents "Hitler)" and diminishes the significance and the sheer horror of the later by equating it with the former, which for all you know you may not even notice. Oh, that's not fair. I'm not encouraging rape by any means. Rape is a violent awful crime. I've seen scores of real rape victims in my work - believe me your heart bleeds. But after a while you develop some sort of an intuition about those things too, in regards to "real reasons" in regards to "what really happened" in regards to "what really happening" and so on. All I'm saying that it doesn't happen ONLY due to someone's crave for power. In fact I believe that a lot of instances of rape happen due to the feeling of powerlessness and desperation. Do you seriously believe that when unattractive man who has never been with a woman looses control of his action and rapes, it comes from his desire for power?! As Bill Cosby, all I'm saying is that he might've done everything that they say he did but there are also plenty of reasons for all of the accusers to, let's say, exaggerate a bit too. Having seen a lot of instances of actual rape but also a lot of instances when an accuser accuses somebody of rape to get back to them for something else, especially if the accuser launches an accusation when medical testing is no longer an option, that's when you examine the incident a bit more carefully then you would've done otherwise.
