I don't understand the issue but it is freaking me out...if anyone is able to do yahoo plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz contact me asap...I am so screwed (not in a good way) if I cannot check my appts

...I have helped many providers switch out of Yahoo. You too will enjoy the better spam filters and other features in Gmail.

Remember that Yahoo! and Hotmail send your IP address in every e-mail you send. That means that anyone receiving an e-mail from you can eventually track down what computer you're using.

Unfortunately, you need a Yahoo! e-mail to access Yahoo! groups, etc. Just be aware of how you're *sending* you're e-mail.

Gmail isn't without problems--they typically have more downtime and the user interface can be slow. But these downsides can be avoided by using alternate access URLs, e.g.:

https://mail.google.com/mail/h/

Takes you to the Basic HTML view on Gmail. Also, note that you should always access Gmail with the "https" prefix.
