That blondes do get noticed more due to the lightness. . anything of brighter color draws the eye. . I enjoy being a brunette with blonde highlights; best of both worlds. I can still blend and have a hint of "fun".... I do like to be known for my experiences and conversation value opposed to being "undressed with eyes" per say. All of that makes me very uncomfortable in public situations!
It all comes down to the person. . but don't mess with a redhead is right!
But I have to complain about a couple things. Being a blond, Ive always had a hard time talking to men without knowing they are undressing me with their eyes. Sometimes this can be annoying, like when I'm asking about snow tires and which is the best brand, or "how do you properly cook a fish" when I'm buying fish from the grocery store, or "can I get this color of Benjamin Moore paint?". Then there are the men who are just mean to me for no reason because I am blond and they have some kind of issue with that. Like when I accidentally get on the turnpike because I was being tailgated and missed my exit, and I tell the turnpike guy to please let me turn around and not charge me, and he starts shouting about how since I'm blond I think I can get perks, blah blah... But the worst is the treatment I get from middleaged women (excluding latin women who are very complimentary). I get alot of rude treatment from middle aged women for some reason. Now once I went red and I think this color was the best in terms of how I was treated. Men still liked me, since red is firey, but they were a little scared of me also (reds are supposed to have tempers lol) so they never crossed any lines with me unless I said to cross a line Women treated me good also. I was not a threat to them as a redhead. Once a hairdresser talked me into going brown. And I stayed brown for exactlyk 3 days. It was a horrible experience. I was completely ignored and treated totally different. Definitely men didnt undress me with their eyes when I was brown haired. And women got really clingy to me, as if I could relate to whatever hardships women have to go thru (???) Yep, I went back to my blond self in about 3 days. I was a redhead for 2 years. I loved it and I often think of going red again.
In my early 20's I was blond for a couple of years, and when I made the switch back to my natural hair color, I had a bunch of guys tell me that they liked my natural color better : )
In college I had pink hair for a little while, and that was a lot of fun! : )
So... out of the 3 hair colors that I've had... my natural brunette hair has been the most 'me'... but all of them were fun! : )
