Stereotypes are so limiting....

Honestly, I have yet to meet a drug addicted, pimped out, beaten down provider.  I have met some very strong, very smart and kind women though.

As for the hobbyist...the same is true pertaining to the stereotype versus the real person.

I think the stereotypes are there to validate how "horrible" this hobby is and how "right" society is to try and stop it.  The truth is; like many things, if society were to actually look at the people involved they might have to rethink their stereotypes and their stances and lord knows they wouldn't want to do that!  LOL!

My question may have been asked in different forms, but I'll phrase it the way I find it interesting and, perhaps, provide for some interesting and amusing comments:
Of all the stereotypes about providers, which do you believe are the most accurate and the least accurate?  I guess the same can be asked about hobbyists, so would love to get some answers on that as well.

The biggest stereotype and the one I find to have the least truth to it is the stereotype that providers don't enjoy the sex or have orgasms. While it may be true in some cases, maybe even many cases, I just have not found it to be the case with the ladies that I end up becoming a regular with.

Please note, I am not saying that every provider out there is a nymphomaniac or that I am able to induce multiple orgasms in every woman that I pay for sex. The generality however that these ladies are only taking your money for an hour's worth of acting like they want to be there is simply not always true.

like any experience, if you go into it with a good additude and with respect for the others involved, well that would be why you had a good experience.
I have had both good and very few bad experiences and they have all been in general reflections of the additudes of the Gentlemen I have been with.
There are so many absolutely negative stereotypes of this hobby and those who choose to be here it just shows you that society is more comfortable this way. If they knew what was really going on, and how normal, and common this all is most of the time, it would be hard to find so much fault in it all.
I have met some of the sweetest Gentlemen, who are nothing but respectful and genuine. They r true Gentlemen.  I have been surprised by this business many times and have to say I do Enjoy the company of most of my sweet Gentlemen sincerely.

I definitely agree with you Nicole! I've honestly found the men that I've met in the hobby to be some the nicest, most engaging, and (dare I say it) sexually talented men I've met anywhere :)

The biggest lie of a stereotype *I've* seen in this hobby is that women in this industry are not respected, and that the men that partake of our services are rude and dangerous. Not to be a whining feminist, but it's pretty hard for a woman to earn respect anywhere. At least here we can feel free to flaunt our hot bodies and talk about our insatiable sex drives without being judged for it.

And the men! I'm sure there's got to be some psychos out there, but so far I think you're all wonderful :) I've had more nutcases follow me home from my day job than I've ever even had *annoyances* from any of the gents here. The men here really know how to make a girl feel special - my civvie friends don't even get such romantic treatment on their anniversaries, lol. How could I help but enjoy myself?

Maxine

Interesting--they fit my experiences and judgements as well.
