I was in the same position as yourself a week ago. I signed up for date-check and managed to book a session with my first provider for next week.
My goal is to end up with RSG as well as they seem to be the best in Boston. I managed to get verified with Boston International as well (they require your work info but are confidential with it) but I have yet to check them out.
good luck
I'm sorry if this belongs in the Newbie section, but I have some region-specific questions and appreciate any and all advice:
With 0 reviews/referrals, where should I start? In terms of verification services, I've gotten the impression that RoomService is the system of choice for MA, is that correct? Looks like they need 2+ referrals to start with them, so just start with independents? Is that safe?
Hobby phones: Is a GoPhone sufficient? I know a lot of ads say no blocked calls, do GoPhones display names?
I understand that having a VIP account on TER is important. I was kind've hoping to earn it through posting reviews, but, from the looks of it, I'll need to pay to play (I'm not to heartbroken about it, but the system seems a bit circular...).
Am I missing anything?
Thanks for your help!
I'd highly recommend getting a membership with either Date-Check, or Preferred411. They're third party screening services and will make it a lot easier on you.

i just designed my own web site at my escort design.com it was 200 or so n this way u can enforce never discussing services on phone. i would nrecomend u design a side a soon as finances permit which may not be right waay i suppose, but when u can do it, cuz i find i am not as nervous now that all the over phone talk has been cut out by me havn a site to direct potential clients too. unfortunetly to post on ter u need a site that u can have this site reviewed at ter emblem on cover front of site, escortedesign.com the site is just to start out, thats what i am usin for, but my next investment will be a nice site w the ter lodgo on nfront n to advertise here. but for ion mean time this site is helpful. and i know every one hates back page but thats where i advertise now, . and city vibe and sip sap. heres my site u can check it out i designed it myself , it has been the best thing ever for me, now i no longer have to hem my whole day up being overly friendlyt to callers in hopes theyl come for appt, you know the worst is the callers that ask a mill questions, n then never come for appt. now i dont have to get into lenghty discusions on rates n cost services offered, that is so draining so id suggest gettn a web site asap. also if u really r nervous on postn n meetin guys. another thing i hav done is go dance at some clubs, n meet s few clients there now n again. this way u get to see em first n theyl usually offer more than on a escort site knowing u r a dancer n make slot just at dancing with ouyt doin much. this is alsdo a good way to met your clients cuz like 80 percent guys goijn in are lookn to do more else where. its just a fact. some i danced at in boston glass slipper, and then theres 1800 show girls. u can call 1800 showgirls, n its select entertainment. thats anutha way to meet guys lookn for escorts with out endangerin yourself,
very fair and easy to work with. And they have great girls.

Hi BigNation,
Your ideas are along the right lines.
1. Don't be afraid to ask for advice on the boards, but never expect others to do your research for you. The appearance of being lazy will only antagonize fellow hobbyists who might otherwise be willing to help.
2. Pay for TER VIP membership and use the 'search reviews' function. The access to reviews that comes with VIP membership will save you money in the long run. It is cheaper than being ripped off.
3. Join a screening service. Room Service 2000 and Date Check have worked well for me.
4. Get a hobby phone that cannot be traced to you. It does not have to be sophisticated. I don't know about GoPhone, but I use a $20 Tracfone. Use cash to pay for the phone and for top-ups.
5. Alex Harvey is correct regarding The Bella Donna. If you decide to go the agency route, and you like the look of the girls on their website, this is a good place to start. You will have to give up some personal information, but they are very discreet.
Hope this info helps!
Have fun,
DJ

other words, seeing a lady who doesn't screen, hoping to build a resume, might have the opposite effect, because most reputable ladies won't accept the references of a known, light screener.
While I've not used an area agency, per Alexharvery and Diamond Jim that might be the best route.
I'd be careful about giving out too much personal information. One slip to the wrong person and it cold all be posted on a blacklist for a trifling reason.
And whether anyone knows it or not, Boston names are showing up on the National Blacklist at a prodigious rate....MUCH higher, in proportion, than any other region.
Be careful out there.
Preferred411 or Date-Check (Preferred411 is my personal preference but I honor both).
RoomService2000 is becoming increasingly popular on the East Coast but I find it less convenient as it requires that I actually communicate with someone in order to complete a reference check versus the instant verification that comes with a P411 or DC ID. Additionally I like to see which providers have provided recommendations and reading a gentleman's session preferences/bio on P411 & DC versus basically just receiving a "he's fine" through RSK2000- but again, these are just my personal preferences and all 3 service the same purpose: one-stop verification which is acceptable to many independents and services and requires minimal exchange of personal information.
Should you begin with a service (and I tend to think that's a good idea for a newbie because there is a degree of quality control with reputable services)- Room Service Girls, After Dark, Bella Donna, Boston International are all services which have strong client bases who are vocal in their support which should be reassuring to you. The only caveat to agency verification IMO is that should you segue to independents who verify they may not accept agency references unless they have a personal relationship with / working awareness of the service and you may have to screen again. Many girls aren't especially particular though and you'll just have to determine your own level of comfort in terms of how much information you will provide, who you will provide it to and which security precautions you appreciate a provider/service taking.
Tracfone's are anonymous, suitable for this purpose and at like $9.99 - disposable.
If you are going to do this with some frequency I would suggest Virgin Mobile for your hobby phone because Tracfone's are pieces of junk and the rates are terrible.
Good luck and have fun : )
My 2c start with an agency, indies may be bad.. They can use that info
