... and that will starve all these Federally funded missions and crusades. All hobbyists should be neither R nor D, but L.

Came across a news story about this place Down Under.  Apparently, the local city government gave the go-ahead for the place to double in size.  Why can't there be a place like that around here ???

Better watch out -- the powers that be are will be planning to revoke the passports of anyone they suspect of intent to commit sex tourism. All for the sake of the Sex Trafficked Children.

The hobby will continue as long as men desire women and women need money.
This country should legalize prositution and collect the normal taxes of a legitimate business endevour.
They then should crack down very  hard on any illegal activity with minors and pimps involved. Women should have a choice about the industry and not be forced into it against their will.
As we all know there are plenty of smart, beautiful women that see this hobby as a fun and profitable business enterprise.
America wake up!!!!!

I would say probability of this happening in our lifetimes is no greater than the US switching to metric system of measures (meters, kilograms, etc). A belief that woman "belongs" to her Man and hence aversion to prostitution is deeply rooted in our Puritan past. Dutch have always had open minded culture towards occupational choice and had never been overly dogmatic in their religious beliefs. This was one of the reasons Puritans left for America after briefly staying in Amsterdam in the early 1600s. No politician in their sane mind would lobby for legalizing prostitution and any grass root campaign is unlikely to get any traction. Keeping prostitution illegal : 1) Allows married women to better control their husbands and keep money in the family 2) gives LE more budget justification and something to fall back to in down times 3) keeps providers' prices high if they are willing to take the risk. Which is not great for an independent escort as in this victim-less crime current laws are essentially unenforceable. As you can see, it's a win-win-win for everyone in the food chain except us, the hobbyists. And women in general, as this limits their occupational choice and freedom. Oh, and potential tax revenue - but who cares about this - we are a rich country which can afford multiple simultaneous super-expensive wars, right ?
