This area has reasonable parking for visitors, good restaurants, and is public transportation friendly. Not frequented much by providers, as far as I know, but should be!
It doesn't have the shopping of Copley area, but still a valid location. Just check rates before you book, in case there is something going on at the convention ctr.
Good afternoon, I'm thinking of visiting Boston the 1st week of April and wanted some feedback on what area to stay in. This will be my first time visiting your great city.... Any suggestions will be very appreciated... Also would like to stay near where I can sight see and take in your beautiful city with my camera for memories... Lol
As it is next to much of Boston's finer points of interest, plus very good shopping. It is also convenient for clients to get to. The downside is that it is the priciest area too.
The North End and Waterfron areas are also very nice, but less convenient.
Also bear in mind that the hotel workers union is threatening to strike shortly, so you may want to hold off till that situation is settled.
Strike!! My last visit, there was fear of another blizzard, and while it didn't happen, it was enough for people to err on the side of caution, understandably. That was bad timing coupled with kids week off....none of which I was aware of as a frequent visitor, but non-resident.
Now there's a possible strike! I really have great timing with my favorite city

since the CraigsList murder a few years ago at the Copley Marriott, most of the reputable hotels there have gone with keycard access only-- which is a massive inconvenience for holding incall. Just be aware and do your homework before you book a room, sweetie!
Downtown Boston, Theater District is also a great place and convenient for a lot of clients who work and live in the area. The rate for the hotel may be a bit less than Copley Square. Sightseeing would be convenient as the Boston Common, Fanuel Hall, Financial and Theater District is within walking and public transportation distance.
It's great that you're planning to visit Boston -- long overdue, imo. Others will mention Copley Sq (aka, the Back Bay, and I agree that that's good); also think about downtown (near financial district, Chinatown, and the common), or even Cambridge (near the Charles River and Harvard Square). Seaport is up and coming, but a little harder to get to, though not impossible.
(Guys, make sure you see this "Gem"-ma when she visits -- a sweetheart of a woman and a high-octane partner in the bargain. I highly recommend.)
Thank u all so much for your recommendations.. I'm going to research the areas and set a date to visit ur wonderful city!!! It will be my first time ever in my life to visit so I am really excited!!!
