and it made me laugh..so this provider advertises on BP, yet does not accept BP clients unless they have references that are NOT BP girls?? ummm am I the only one that is a little perplexed by this?

I find a black female refusing black clients more perplexing frankly.

Anyway, Backpage is a great advertising medium if approached with personal safeguards in place- and choosing not to accept the word of providers who change identities as frequently as they change panties, have no concept of or desire to screen and have absolutely no idea who they're arranging to meet within twenty seconds of answering the phone is a reasonable personal safeguard.

If a girl is relying on references...well a reference is only as good as the provider who is providing it.  If a provider does not demonstrate a degree of professional stability no, that is not a reference that I will consider.
Calling a Backpage-exclusive advertiser for a reference is a joke- if they don't hang up within 3 seconds of hearing a female's voice, they either ask if you have a "daddy" or need one or say "Huh" repeatedly as if they're partially deaf.  I don't want to be recruited by some pimp's bottom bitch so uh no, I will no be calling C****A***N((((DY STA****R_$ for a "reference" lol.

There are so many well-established clients with references,Date-Check/P411/RS2K , TER histories/WhiteLists who peruse Backpage that a girl can really play the game there just as she would advertising right here or on other escort malls.

Well, save for all of the "will you poop on me, can I wear your lingerie, can you come to my house in 3.5 minutes, what is your rate for exactly 8 minutes of your GFE time", what will you do for $80 in nickels, dimes & quarters etc. inquiries that come with advertising on Backpage.

Lol!

I would think that any provider would support it as her right to exclude anyone she wants.

I did not say that I do not "support her right" to exclusion.

I said that I found it perplexing meaning: I simply do not *understand* the phenomenon of providers refusing to see an entire race of men, particularly black providers who refuse to see black clients.

The politically incorrect response that hasn't been mentioned. Is that her BF/pimp is black and sees other black men as his competition. Thus the NBA policy.

I just mentioned it in passing because we were discussing the advertisement itself.

I'm sure she is a fine provider and she is very beautiful, I like that booty.

My comment was merely observational.
This is a practice that I find disturbing both for its basis in ignorance and the complacency with which everyone who isn't affected by it smugly accepts it as if it is completely legitimate exclusion.
More often than, based on the reasons given, it simply isn't.

I'll get into it if it becomes one of "those" threads about it but I think we've all seen and heard enough of these topics.  Ultimately it just "is what it is".

Would not use a reference from a BP "only" escort. Many providers have thier own websites and ads on other sites and if you have studied enough you would already know who is who just from this site.
Ok, now I have to look up for her……She is hot!

BP is an ad venue and no I do not accept BP exclusive references she needs to be trackable  website reviewed.
I have always said if you are reviewed and have a website you can post an ad anywhere. the measure of safety taken here is the same as on the BP ads. I ask for refs and verify my clients exactly the same. Its just another ad venue.

Requires a bit more weeding is all.

why so nieve is my question....

Wow! I didn't expect my thread to get this much activity lol. All I meant was that IMO, a girl that advertises on BP does not see clients who use BP. I mean I would think that the majority of men that use BP do not have any reputable references due to the lack of quality, in most cases that exist on BP. No offense intended to the the ladies on here that also use BP to advertise. Honestly I just thought it was ironic that a provider advertising on BP would not see BP clients without references ie: ladies of the quality that are on here.

You said that you found it perplexing that a provider advertised on Backpage-

"yet does not accept BP clients unless they have references that are NOT BP girls"

It read like a comment on the references of Backpage clients which is why it was answered as it was.

In light of your clarification, speaking only for myself, I see clients who do not have references so long as they are otherwise verifiable and I would assume that others also have systems of verification that do not include references from other reputable providers.
No, clients who use Backpage *exclusively* do not have bodies of "quality" references, but that doesn't mean that they cannot be verified via another method.

Her ad only says she will not accept BP references (Backpage exclusive-advertiser references).
It does not say she is incapable of seeing a client without references at all.

Many clients who browse BP also browse elsewhere...so a provider who chooses not to see BP-exclusive clients (without "quality" references, otherwise unverifiable) can still advertise on BP speaking to and receiving a different audience.
Its not ironic- BP is just an advertising medium with more than one kind of game being played on it.

Kisses,
Ally

There are many providers that advertise (yes advertise) on TER. Yet their website says, they don't want reviews and won't see a guy again (and some threaten adding him to a blacklist site) IF HE WRITES A REVIEW!

Sounds similar to the BP gal that says, "I'll advertise here but won't take referals from girls that advertise here".

Especially when we are agitated about the review process lol.

That's a different topic for a different thread, queue it up BPHunter :).

I don't think it's that they won't take references from providers who advertise on BP, it's that they won't take references from providers who aren't reputable (ie providers who screen, have reviews, and their own website). Which just happens to be the majority of providers advertising on BP in Boston. I know personally that I wouldn't accept a reference from a provider who doesn't have reviews and their own website. Where they advertise isn't really a factor in and of itself, whether it's backpage, or eros, changes nothing to me. It's well known that LE does in fact post ads as stings to catch the guys, but they will also try to use these ads as references to set up the girls too.

In some parts of the country backpage is the only advertising option, or they usually use other sites which are not popular in Boston. So when those clients travel on business to Boston, often backpage is the first place they look when seeking a provider. Many of these clients have references from reputable providers all over the country.

you win some, you lose some, but unfortunately it's one of the most frequented sites and a place where you're definitely going to geta response. lol. it just may not be what you expected. I advertise onvBackpage often, but would love to leave the site on.
