Well said Vicki. I did forget one special group of men and women that we should give thanks to. IT IS THE MEN AND WOMEN IN OUR ARMED FORCES. ESPECIALLY THOSE BRAVE SOLDIERS OVER IN AFGANISTAN,AND IRAQ. THEY ARE OUT THERE FIGHTING AND PROTECTING US FROM THOSE WHO WISH TO SEE THIS GREAT COUNTRY FALL. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL AND KEEP IT UP.

I want to wish every poster on this board a very happy thanksgiving. There was a thread on another board that revealed how much hobbyists care about providers and it really touched my heart. One poster told how he encountered a provider working long hours in Boston hotel without any breaks or down time between calls. He said he took her to lunch (or dinner, I forget) and passed up his time wityh her to give her a break from service that was not far from slavery. It got him in trouble with the agency for taking her out of the room, but he says it was worth it. I like to think he is representitive of the vast majority of hobbists and I am proud to be associated with him by membership in this hobby. Our humanity is so much more valuable than the satisfaction of our desires. Thank you Spanky!

Well put. These women should be treated with kindness and not worked to death. I enjoy the hobby very much but it bothers me sometimes on how they are treated like a factory. God bless all you providers who have to deal with this everyday. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Wow, which of you gentlemen will marry me?  ;)  Why do you think I'm taking a mental health vacation?  The courtesy goes both ways.  Everyone has busy schedules and should be treated with respect.

happy thanksgiving everyone
what will you be doing this thanksgiving?
I will be working a long shift at my day job. I always work thanksgiving and Christmas to give the other employees a day off. I don't really celebrate holidays much because I don't have much family here, just me, my brother and sister.
This thanksgiving I'm grateful:
To God for giving me all healthy and working limbs
Food to eat which is an abundance as you can clearly see in my photos
The ability to think, comprehend and understand
A wonderful family
and thoughtful friends
and most im[ortantly I'm thankful to God for everyday that he gives us the chance to make him, ourselves and the world a happier and better place.
