to make things worse, it freed you up to watch the sox game, which just got postponed. two rainouts in one day, tough break.  It could be an omen, maybe you will meet with someone else tomorrow, it will be great, and the red sox will win two games, too!  Here's hope that there is lots of scoring tomorrow for everyone!

I am using this forum to vent because I can't really tell my significant other that I was stood up by a provider and that's why I am in such a bad mood.

I read all the time about guys not keeping their scheduled appointments and what a pain in the ass it is for providers.  Well, this is now the 2nd time this has happened to me with two different women.  I have a reference (thank you sooo much GRAYEYED NICOLE!), I offer other verifiable information, my cell # and my work #, I'm not rude on the phone or by email (or in person for that matter) and I'm a well groomed and clean cut guy.

The provider I was supposed to see today posts here somewhat frequently, has great reviews and nice pictures.  In short, someone that I've wanted to see for a while.  I will not see her now, under any circumstances.  One would think that simple courtesy and respect would dictate that a person should call and cancel - nevermind that I was going to pay her for her time and efforts - which I would have done without issue.  I scheduled my work day around being out of the office and our meeting - I would not have disrespected her or any other lady here by being so inconsiderate.  I am not a frequent hobbyist b/c of my work and school schedule and I can't just call any day or any time for an appointment.  As annoyed as ladies get when their dates don't show up I'm just as frustrated by the same act.

In the end, I saved my $$$ and I'm hopeful that I can meet up with someone tomorrow - if my schedule allows.  Sometimes, I feel that the hassles of this hobby sometimes just ain't worth it!  Then I think of some of the ladies I've met and I realize I'm just whining.  Guess I need to get laid.

Hope your day is better than mine...

I understand your frustration.  It's happened to me, as well.  Sometimes I've been able to fall back on another provider (I always have a backup phone number for a different provider, just in case).  In the times that I haven't, I fume a bit, then make a mental note and move on.  What it does do for me is give me a better appreciation for those great providers (*kiss* for Bianca) and what they have to put up with, sometimes, from no-shows.

Additionally, it may have been something outside of control.  A return phone call to you to apologize, reschedule, explain, etc., would have been appropriate.  I hate to make suppositions without knowing the whole story.

Hope your future encounters go better!

Crummy day:
the Sox getting rained out on opening day doesn't bode well :(  ::sigh:: not that I think they'll do any better this year ;)

Well August, I think that Mr. Redsox and YOU should meet with me tomorrow; to ensure a winning season for the Sox, naturally..lol

Did you try contacting her and getting a response back from her first? Maybe something had happened on her end, which might have caused her to miss her appt.(?).  Anyways, I hope that your appt. with the next provider, works out well :)

Sincerely,

Mel :)

Thanks Mel...one of these days when I can plan ahead we'll have to get together.  Yes I did call.  I called this morning at a prearranged time to confirm then left several voice mails at our meeting time that went unreturned.  There may be a valid excuse but that still doesn't make it ok.

August, that was my plan - since I couldn't get tickets today I figured I'd have other fun and then catch the end of the ballgame!  You know what they say about the best laid plans...or is that the best plans to get laid!

Have a good day both of you and thanks for responding.

I am sure in time this lady will explain the problem and make amends. I would hope that if she does not offer a creditable reason for the no show that you will offer a review.

You are a great guy and I will be the first to say who ever stood you up.It is definately her loss.So sorry BABY  HUGS  Love,Grayeyed Nicolexoxoxoxox

Sorry to hear about your day.

Hopefully, the provider will respond when she can.

I have been stood up a number of times by providers over the last several months. Often times some kind of emergency with their children. I usually plan my evenings with some flexibility and take it in stride. The ladies have been wonderful about it. I just love getting the note that says, "Sorry...I'll try to make it up to you." And they always do.

Your post would be more helpful if you told us who stiffed you!!
We all need to know, or this will repeat and repeat!

It has happened to all of us. A tel call cancelling is very
easy to make, and a common courtesy. I certainly call providers 90 minutes ahead if I must cancel.

A warning, however, needs a subject or it is worthless.

Given your scheduling plans, you should have a Plan A with big tits and a Plan B with long legs, perhaps a Plan C with Pouty Hoover Lips.

Oh please, and the next time you no-show because your wife needs you to take her to Costco and you can't find 5 seconds to make that call, please allow us providers to publicly post your name and personal information all over the boards!

Let him find out whether it was a bonafide reason or not (like she died or ended up in the hospital) or if it was a one time deal BEFORE you go and slander her name accross the continent!

Don't let your pen name be indicative of your thinking process.  I give you much more credit than that!

I feel for you mate, Nothing against you, but as I read that I can't help thinking of all Sox fans and Sox nation who will dance to the playoffs just to get stood up when it counts. You need to get laid for being a Redsox fan from the start never mind the other stuff. Being a Bruins fan I should know...

Hi, It has happened to all of us I think. Both provider and hobbiest. It is frustrating to make arrangements to be out of the office or hiding from your SO and have the lady not show up. Likewise, it's frustrating for a lady to have 3 or 4 or 5 appointments scheduled to have 2 or 3 not show up without a call.

It really is about courtesy and respect. It is just plain RUDE to not show up for a scheduled appointment, date, meeting, dinner or anything that is pre-arranged without a calling the other party or parties, if at all possible.

To be truthful, except for a couple of incidents a few years ago, I have gotten calls explaining the situation. And, when that has happened to me the lady or agency has been very good about making up for it in some way. Likewise, I've had to cancel a couple of times and an additional tip for her trouble was warranted.

Don't give up on her yet, she may be your future ATF... And, there may be a good reason, so hear her out first, you'd expect her to give you a chance to explain, no?

Magnum -

Good advice.  I still haven't received a call but I have been able to schedule an appt. for today with a lovely woman that I look forward to meeting...every dark cloud has a silver lining.

Thanks again.

Honey just one other thing maybe something DID happen.Try hrt one more time and then forget.I look forward to seeing you soon,HUGS LOL Love,Grayeyed Nicolexoxoxo

I do not know you MR Sexxy Red Sox Fan, but I feel your anguish. A few weeks or so ago I was getting cancelled on and no showed it really bites. Things do happen, but no matter what the reason an email should be sent to you explaining the circumstances/ Better luck in the future.
