Definitely blurred!! Pixilation takes away from the shape of the girl's face.

When a lady chooses not to show her face completely do you prefer a pixilated photo , a blurred photo , a cropped photo ?
I have been doing research and cant seem to find a definitive answer , obviously its a personal choice but is there one way that comes across more attractive than another.

I know I prefer a light pixilation but what the heck do I know ?
Any ideas appreciated
As always
Amber

I prefer a light pixilation also. I always know a Bodyoasis girl is a beauty anyway. You always have the best looking ladies!

Aah blurred face hmm.
If I may when a ladies face is heavily blurred do you assume its for privacy and hope for the best or does it deter you from seeking her as your companion of choice?

Not seeing a lady's face can be a bit off-putting, but in my experience when I have taken the chance, I have yet to be excessively disappointed. I think this is because: A) I am attracted to so many different kinds of female faces; B) Most internet providers are honest in their own descriptions; and C) Reviews and independent assessments were available. Insofar as the method of concealment: go with blurring or cropping. I have seen too many situations where the pixels seem to add a clown-like appearance, or worse, because the mind's eyes sometimes picks up on unnatural cues in the pixel pattern fills in unsavory details that are only imagined. Hope this helps!

A 'masked' photo... a box or panel covering enough to identify without removing the facial 'shape' and a hint of a smile preferred...

Hi Amber,

I prefer a slight blur over the pixilation.  No offense but my personal opinion is that the pixilation looks amateurish.  Take care.

it's visually jarring and it doesn't leave a flattering impression of the girl (needless to say, pasting a smiley face cartoon on there is also a major deterrant! LOL)

as others have rightly pointed out, an aesthetically blurred face is best. IMHO it should be blurred only just enough to protect identity while still giving enough information about the bone-structure (long/short nose, wide/thin face, etc) that lets a guy determine if she matches his tastes (not to mention a visible warm smile underneath the blur certainly helps make a positive impression -- there's a fair bit of the psychology of perception involved here, trust me. the guys know what i'm talking about!

when they're blurred too much, that's when it raises a flag in my mind ... cuz it's not really necessary for anonymity and if not so then it can only be for "protecting" something else  ;-)

hope this helps

Just scanning the board and I read this subject line. Out of context, it sounds very sexy.

"Do you do pixelation?"

Oh well...it would probably cost more anyway. ;)

I prefer slightly blurred, although in my opinion the black bar across the eyes is best, when seeking to withhold the full identity.  Granted, that still exposes the mouth and nose, which may not be adequately anonymous, but I think it gives enough of a hint as to the provider's general image, while masking the identity.  Just my two cents.

Sunglasses.  I dont like the blurred face because you can't see the mouth.

does this mean we might see a picture of Bella.  I have always seen rave reviews about her but am hesitant (cause I've been disappointed by rave reviews before - YMMV).  In general, without seeing what her body looks like (I don't mind not seeing the face) I would not take the chance.

Thanks (especially for Tiah)

I'm with those who prefer the black bar. At least you can see something. The turned head can sometimes be just as effective.

And I always assume it's for privacy, which is more than understandable.

Also if I may, I feel the photo's should be revealing. We are window shopping here.  :-)

We want all we can get. We want to see hair, lips, eyes, etc.
But some of us also want our own privacy, so we have to respect the ladies desires.
Let her have a choice of what she feels is most attractive. That way the photos are a more accurate representation of the model's personality.
The worst impact might be client draw, but you have an excellent reputation for attractive models and honesty, so that should counteract any negative effect.
Which reminds me that I need to schedule another appointment.

Enjoy.

Definitely blurred!! Pixilation takes away from the shape of the girl's face.

i would have to agree slightly blured is better than pixilazation  at least you can see some of the face cheeks and chin

Just goes to show you that Boston men are some of the most helpful around .
Thank you all for all of your suggestions.
I like the sunglasses idea .

As for Bella her name speaks for itself , she is beautiful .
She feels like at this time she doesnt need photos , maybe at some time she will but not  right now she says.
Bella may be one of the most beautiful ladies I have met locally.

I will print this and post it in the studio so that when we do our next portfolios the ladies will have a better understanding of your preferences.

A sincere thanks for everything .
Amber

Blurring and pixelation are useless to the hobbyist.  I would rather see a pic with the lady's head turned (mostly or completely) or with sunglasses, etc.  The face pic should give us an idea of what the face looks like -- pixelation and blurring do not accomplish this, and just make the picture look unappealing IMHO.  Even a full body shot cropped at the chin looks better to me.
