I agree totally.

And the public airing of disputes is disquieting.  I can understand a couple of posts but some of these matters get way out of hand.

No disrepect to Aphrodisia (whom I've not had the pleasure of meeting but secretly lust), Melinda or the Colonel.

Can't we just tone it down?

It seems to me that one cause of the burying of posts is the tendency for some to post back to back (meaningless to most everyone else) replies in support of eachother

``thanks dear (lol)''
''thank you also''
or
``we love you''
blah, blah, blah.

I mean, can't you do this back-patting privately.  I've stopped reading some threads just because many are riddled with very personal (between 2 people) posts.

There has been much talk about the etiquete of back-channeling etc.  Well, to me there is an etiquete to posting - If it doesn't have value to, say, more than 3 people, then IMHO it doesn't belong in a public forum.

Just voicing my frustration.

But, I don't apologize for my feelings in this matter. I had meant to only post my thoughts, and the person in question, chose to respond to it, which caused a chain reaction. Again, the length of the post, that I do apologize for. But I can never apologize for my feelings as a person.

Anyways, again, apologies to everyone. But, I felt what was in my heart, and I had to say it.

Mel

Here we have a completely legitimate request by a gentleman to cease and desist the incessant worthless babble among local providers and some of their lap dogs on the board and what does it produce ?  More incessant, worthless babble of no social redeeming value.

I mean really, how many times can you sit in front of your puter and type in "You go girl" ?!?!?  From the looks of it, I guess some of you can do it all day long.

You OBVIOUSLY did not learn much in your obedience classes Mr. Smithers. Certainly not "heel, or sit," however you do seem to LAP IT UP,

I am gratified by your recent post as it definately was NOT filled with the incessant, worthless babble you babbled about.  I will spend seconds pondering its added value to the board.

Uh some of us working girls take our LAP TOPS to work with us, specifically to speak to our hobbying LAP DOGS who inadvertently pay for our groceries, stockings, shelter, etc.

Obviously you have enough time to sit and read this crap all day long otherwise you wouldn't be talking about it.

When you've learned to roll over, play dead and sit, maybe I'll let you sit in my lap.  In the meantime stop the insults, and don't reprimand others for something you are just as guilty of doing.  Your post, case in point.

I never mentioned any names Aphrodisia...........but since you responded.  I log on to this board to hopefully absorb or exchange pertinent information regarding providers with my fellow hobbyists. I don't need to click on to a post to see the idle chit chat that I and many others find useless for it's right in the heading for all to see.  Some of us are merely asking the habitual offenders to take thier "you go girl talk" off the board.  It's a waste of valuable bandwidth.  Wow,for once I agree with a post from Kate !

ps.........Aphrodisia, not that I was hoping for a response from you but I thought it would have contained much more intelligent content coming from you.   and yes, my tail is presently wagging.

I agree llcar but I don't think it's my job to clean up such threads. I understand your frustration and I'm glad you spoke up.

thirsty

`you go girl's, 'hmmm's, 'sounds good to me's .... I'm sure you have better things to do.   I got a kick out of how this post generated exactly what I am frustrated about (Thought they were being smart-asses. However, I doubt this).

Can't say that `I love you thirsty' in about 30 different threads.  But I certainly appreciate all you do.

Take care.

To llcar and to others: This issue was over HOURS AGO. Things have been settled between both Col Hogan and myself. Lets not continue this, for now it's other's who are adding fuel to the fire. I said my piece/Col Hogan said his.

As I stated earlier, I do apologize for the length of the post. But, I don't apologize for standing up for what I felt was right. For me to have not spoke at all, would go against my nature.

I would appreciate it to let this matter die from here, and for others to, as well. It's gotten old, been discussed, and all matters have been put in the back burner, as it should. Again, Lets all move on from this, and not add more fuel to the fire.

Thanks, and have a great week everyone :)

Mel :)

I'm not suggesting that you did. I think we've created kind of a community here. So people are comfortable interacting the way the see fit. On the other hand, I get a bit uncomfortable when a lot of praise is directed at me, if for no other reason that people may feel that I'm encouraging it.

We all occasionally add a "me too/I agree" type post to a thread. What's wrong with that if we feel that the previous poster nailed it? However, I can definitely see your point about the "blah, blah, blah, direction some of the threads take.

Oh please-If you are reading the board you probably already got your e-mail and why the public discussion between people like the whole world cares that they are communicating?

I check on every few days and while trying to catch up on reading these posts make the posters look stupid, especially when you read them days later.

These posts amaze me :)  Kisses, K

Trying to think of others ... must go back to Junior High ... No !!! too painful.  Damn it, I'm missing Jerry's monologue.

Kate

Like you, I read the board every few days just to catch up.  As I read your post about the sillyness of a certain poster(we all know who you are referring to), I began to wonder, why is it that you always post some type of dig at people?  I mean if you already know what she is going to say, then why take the time to read them.  If you know this is what is going on, then why read her posts.  Just scroll past them and forget about them.  Do they pay you to start drama?
Please dont take this the wrong way, as I have heard that when you don't like someone you will torment them, and I dont need any trouble.  I just wish that you would just once have something nice to say to or about someone.  I am sure you could be a really nice person, but the way you respond to posts make people not even want to post anymore, as they dont want to deal with any drama that you and a few others are well known for bringing.  Why can't everyone just be nice to one another and get along.

Just my .02
