Good point.  This is a no lose situation for social conservatives.

The more I hear, the more I am getting nervous about everything. I am deciding whether or not to keep my website up or trash it. I know of some hobbyists who have cancelled memberships already with both tbd and ter, because of the news. Some of the providers that I spoken with are no longer going to post on tbd. Some have elected to not post on Ter, as well. Not sure what to do, for I would love to keep posting my schedule with Ter. Any words of advice from you seasoned people?????? Help.

Sincerely,

Mel

like distroying a personal website. Easier said than done I know but try not to panic!

Thanks for taking the time out to assuage my fears via the phone. As always, you are a total gem to talk to! :) Keep up the good work!

Love,

Mel :)

The government actually has very limited resources.  To expand the impact of those resources, the government will do something big to get press coverage.  The big ticket item is worth it for the government because people see the news and then alter their behavior in accordance with the action taken by the government.  It is the "oh my god am I next effect."  Federal agencies do this all the time.  It is really amazing how well it works. A.

I have been thinking about how well that tactic works. It looks to me as if nothing has changed for the average person in the hobby on either side. However, many ladies and gents who are on the "do I really want to do this [hobby]" fence will be tipped toward the "it isn't worth it" position. It seems that's part of the justification that LE can fall back on when expending the resources necessary to complete a high profile investigation.
