Remember to vote today!

I love to discuss politics.  However, I have a guideline that says you can not complain about our government unless you voted.  Often I get a wonderful look from those trying to complain, but that have not bothered to cast a ballot.

I find the low rate of voter turnout in our country a real disgrace.  Your vote does count, but only if you cast it.

I appreciate your concerns, but...

The first and last time I voted for someone and didn't get totally disappointed was when I voted for Kelly Clarkson. I'm done with that.

after the thread the other day, but  looking at the pics it is obvious that there is more than one trick!

I might have voted more often today if Kelly was running.  Our system does not seem to elevate the best and the brightest.  Of course Kelly would not fit that criteria either.

I dislike the candidates so much this year that I can't see myself taking the trouble of walking across the street to cast a ballot for any of them. That is a little depressing, when you think that no matter what the situation will not improve, but most of all, when you become another convert of George Carlin and start to believe that this entire democratic exercise is pointless...

Hey! I would vote for George Carlin any day!

If you choose not to vote, and that is your choice, you choose to take what ever the outcome is knowing you did not speak your mind on election day.
You may not like any candidate but there must be one you like better than the others.
The reality is if you dont vote, down the road, don't bitch if it didn't turn ouit to your satisfaction.

Hi Nicole. (long time no see)

Interesting you say that. I was thinking exactly about it yesterday, if there is at least one candidate that I would dislike less than the others, and honestly there wasn't. I don't like any of them. It's really sad this state of things when you don't believe any of the candidates will be any good.

Seriously, I think I have been watching and listening to George Carlin a lot and that has been eroding my beliefs that the political dance is relevant at all.

But thank you for the advice. Have a great week!
