Sports are an integral part of our region. As I write this, there are 25 threads on the first page of this board. Five threads are devoted exclusively to the Red Sox. Nineteen threads deal exclusively with the hobby and one thread (Hogan's/ARedsoxFan's bet) combines the two. The Red Sox threads stand out because they generate so many replies. Would people prefer that I censor that? I've asked people before to try to keep the Sox talk to one thread when possible but I understand that each game will generate another thread. I won't let the board become TSoxR but I don't think that's happening.
We have an online community here. Our mutual interests go beyond the hobby. One option you or any other member has if there is not enough hobby talk to suite your taste is to contribute a new thread of your own.
newbie here, so take my "imho" with a grain of salt, have been a lurker for some time , posting for short time and find this info . valuable as i approach my first "companionship" date, the people here are great. As for the sports jabbin back in forth, i find it very funny and a great diversion, from the usual, yes shes great and yes shes great too and so on, as well as the occasional other off topic items that occasionally pop up. of Course you get your sports and your die hard fans..look out :>).the posts are long! anyways ive had fun and tried to keep some humor and pleasentness in my posts, if it is the consensus that its too much , i for one will respect other peoples wishes maybe ter needs a sports board ?? go sox

The fines handed out by MLB concern the bench clearing incedent.
BPD is investigating charges against Nelson and Garcia for assault and the groundskeeper is considering sueing the NY players. Guess people cheering for an inning ending double play by the opposition are assulted regularly in 'da Bronx'.
