Is it true in the recent bust the cop faked his employment? I am wondering how many ladies feel safe now if this is true. Now what hoops will we have to jump through to make you feel safe? Pretty soon none of us will be getting any because it is so hard to know if one another is safe. I guess that is what the want to achieve. Hysteria.

have plenty of verifiable references. backed up with employment and you should be fine.
but Yes you will be jumping through hoops that's for sure.
The cop had NO references. There's one big problem with refs you can solve.
Employment records may be easy to fake, valid provider refs will be harder. Ladies with reviews and a website she can contact. More than one and well known.
Try planning ahead of time as well. this gives the gal a chance to do a thorough check of all your refs.

The one downside to relying so heavily on refs, is that it discourages newcomers for joining in.  I'm new to this, & have found it a little tricky getting past verification (finally joined a paid verification site which I think did the trick).  However I understand the heightened vigilance and realize its just a matter of bad timing on my part.

It was a simple fake -- i.e. have the receptionist verify his employment.

Most places have a dial-by-name directory; and he wouldn't have been in that.

Also, he used his real name. All local PDs list all of their employees on their website. If a provider is going to be arrested, it will be by town cops in the town she is in 9 times out of 10.

Checking name against local PD website solves that.

Fake name can be eliminated by telling hobbyist up front that he will have to show DL to get in the door -- and if they don't match -- gonzo.

Rather than get hysterical, just increase prudence.
