OK try to follow along here. A very very well known provider, she has over 50 reviews on the TBD board was ousted from TER because she reviewed another provider after seeing her. Let me explain. Provider one makes an appointment with provider two whom is with a very respectful agency, Taylors Elite actually. Anyway after the appointment provider one submits a review, she is a paying memeber of TER. The gods to be at TER say she is helping provider two out with a fake review. Well provider two has 8 pages already of reviews so go figure. So, do you think this is reason enough, suspicion to delete provider one's 5 pages of reviews and kick her off the site entirely? I don't but just wanted to ask. Thanks for the input and happy hobbying.
TER has rejected a review from a provider to another. Their policies have been very consistent with regards to this issue. I am guessing that they are exercising Section 13 of the policies. I can understand... talk about opening a can of worms!
Why not just deny the review in question, and let bygones be bygones? No new review, no harm, no foul. The punishment doesn't, assuming it's been described accruately, seem to fit the crime.
Do I think it's right? It doesn't matter what I think as it is against the rules. My personal opinion is that she should talk to the powers that be, explain herself and hopefully get re-instated. She made an honest mistake and shouldn't suffer banishment for it.
That being said, the policy exists to prevent abuses of the review process. Unfortunately there is no way to read minds when one provider posts a review about another. No one can know what the intent is so the policy must be a blanket one. My suggestion is that a lady, who has a lot more to lose than we clients do from being banned, should get a warning for a first offense and the review should be deleted. I do not however feel that there is any circumstance under which the review should be allowed.
There are some things about TER that bug me. The prospect of getting banned if I log on with my screen name from my ATF's computer some night so that we can giggle at the stuff that guys talk about is a bit frightening and, to me at least, a bit extreme. You have to take the good with the bad and the guy who foots the bill gets to make the rules.
Providers' reviewing OTHER PROVIDERS????? What POSSIBLY could be the MOTIVE other than outright REVIEW FRAUD??? This is egregious, and EVERYONE knows this is strictly VERBOTEN (Forbidden) by TER rules. Review violations are punishable with banning by BOTH hobbyists, AND providers. What integrity would this site have in hobbyists eyes if every provider wrote a glowing BOGUS review(s) of their provider Friends/Buddies???
If the provider was as well reviewed as you say, it was not only dumb, but unnecessary.
I suggest, if your friend wants, to be reinstated, she write a VERY sincere and humble explanation that she was on a "CRACK BINGE", and lost ALL touch with honesty, and reality when she did that, and send it to -- "[email protected]" (STAFF). I'm sorry this happened, but review integrity is integral, and vital to this site. (Yes, fake reviews do sneak in occasionally (especially by AMPS), but if caught Fake/Bogus review writing is the death penalty here. There really is NO excuse. I'm saddened to lose a decent provider. Sadly, I think I probably know who it is.
While banning may be harsh, is TER to provide different standards for paid, and unpaid, or fake provider reviews of one another? I hope she gets reinstated, but that's a serious breach of a well known rule.
Rules are rules, period. Any provider with any reviews or presence here are going to know it is not permitted to write reviews for one another. That is COMMON SENSE. She took a chance, and got bit.
I'll start by saying I have absolutely no idea who is being referred to here, so I can hardly say anything about this particular circumstance. I'm not trying to argue the point; I just wanted to give a woman's viewpoint on the whole thing.
I do know several providers who occasionally do legitimately hire other providers. These women all say the same things: they really love being with pretty women and sometimes they just want to relax and be pampered. I have no reason to doubt that this does happen. When this circumstance came up on another (local) board, many guys were very interested in reading about the women's experience.
An in depth reading of the review policy does reveal this is against the rules. However, I can see how it *might* have been an honest mistake.
no reason why the provider should be banned.....and she should write an email to [email protected] stating her case....explaining that girls like girls and that she is trying to promote that the hobby can cut both ways....there is a precident for allowing this...if presented properly (and without indignation), I'll bet she is allowed back.....keep me informed.
