Anyway to still get the properties when this function is chosen? Unfortunately makes it a little tougher to spot the scams.

Why would you want to right click the pics except to copy them local?

If all you want is to save the picture just hover the mouse over it and click on the save icon that pops up.

But I think he wants to see the "properties" of the picture. Might have to view the page source code and find the line with the picture, PITA.

contains more source information about who posted the ad. Sometimes from that you can be better educated about who placed the ad and to some degree how much trust you can put its authenticity.

Typically on scamers there are certain inconsistancies that arise, when in conjuncture w/ zero or one review may give you pause before jumping at a great set of pics.

if you use the safari browser you can just drag the image to your desktop which copies the pic to that location. Using flash or java script is about the safest way to protect an image along with a watermark to prevent unauthorized reposting

I'm not talking about how to save pictures from EROS, I'm talking about a system they put in place that makes it more difficult to identify scams & bad agencies.

Is there a way get around it or are we screwed on this.

Also any providers that use EROS, if you have info on the posting process that would help. Is blocking the right click an option or is it standard on thier part now?

That the providers, the paying customers of Eros, are the ones who benefit from this! The honest ladies and agencies who have nothing to hide no longer have to worry about pictures being hijacked and the not so honest scam artists out there now have one less way to be traced.

Bottom line for me at least is that an Eros ad has never been a guarantee of anything other than the willingness of some one to pay for it. If I can't find reviews or at the very least a provider's website the Eros listing means nothing to me.

I'm all for protecting honest providers and anything for their safety is better for them. The paying customers of Eros are benefiting, but the consumers of Eros (hobbyists) are not. Because this slight little change mixes in the bad with the good and makes it more difficult for us to differentiate between them.

As a result of not being comfortable and not wanting to TOFTT, an honest provider (though not highly reviewed) may actually be negatively impacted.

Sticking with well the reviewed is always a good and safe strategy. I also enjoy the variety that traveling providers can sometimes offer. That's when a decision needs to be made and you go with the best information you have. I'm not trying to start a beef, quite the opposite. Just a question I thought others may have noticed and those more technical than I may be able to share their expertise.

I am using IE 7.0 The same image info that was available on right click is displayed on the info bar at the bottom of the window when the mouse icon is placed over any image.

I've never used the photo info to check the veracity of an ad, however; if that is how you do it what you can do is right click some where (not on a picture obviously) and select 'view source' (in firefox right click, select "this frame" and then "view frame source").

You'll need to dig through the HTML, but the info is there....

The reason why they do this is to protect providers from outsiders stealing pics and posting ads online without our permission.  There are a lot of scam artist out there trying to take pics and use it for there own advertising, or for advertising websites pasting picturse for exposer for there website, so that when they meet a quota they can start charging for posting ads.  It has been done to me several times and to other providers as well.

right...it has been done to me as well. I have found my eros ad on other websites using my ad as well as others they just drag it the whole ad off of eros and use it as a way to advertise their site. Then they charge the guys to get a membership on the site. They figure it's out there and they can just pull it off a public sight. I gave no permission to use it. Happens all the time. So that was put in place to protect the ladies from that. |I don't think it was for any other reason.

I was hoping it was something simple. Honestly, my attention is usually distracted on that site.


The info comes up on the base line bar of Firefox also. THAT was the information I was looking for. I appreciate it.

I understand wanting to protect your pictures but disabling the right click wont even slow em down. Like I said in an earlier reply all you have to do is hold the mouse over the picture and click on the save icon that pops up.
