1. The photos on your Eros ad are all fake, these women have never worked for your agency.
They call that Bait and Switch. Plain and simple

2. Why not post pictures of the real women that work for you? Privacy is not the issue, your website proves that, since there are plenty of non blurred pictures on it.

3. So after 9 months under new ownership, you don't have any newer reviews then the one posted.
If there are any please post them.

Good job researching those stock advertising photos on our Eros ad. Although we've never had anyone mistake those photos for the ones in our gallery, which are all 100% real.

And another good job pulling up a year old review. I guess the fact that we've been under new ownership for almost 9 months doesn't matter.

There is certainly a place for researching and reporting bait and switch.  However, grouping together providers who practice this tactic and ones like us who do not, may make some readers who do not read it thoroughly, assume guilt by association. I think your posts are at times somewhat deceptive, possibly malicious, and definitely irresponsible. This is of no surprise to me as I've always believed you were another agency owner.

No matter who you are, you have every right to continue to do what you are doing. But you could and should be doing it better. I have seen you post misleading information before.

Since there seems to be from time to time a mis-understanding of whether you are pointing out good or evil, maybe you could highlight potential problems with a red flag note.  Then there might be a clearer understanding of your posts.

Maybe you need to take another look at your entry for Hailey.
Do another step in the research on that one.

She's real.
The picture is real.
The TER reviews are very current.

What leads you to lump her into this group?

Actually as I read his post there were no red flags for Hailey.

I believe his intent was to suggest that she was reviewed and the pics were not stolen.

A lot of highly respected agencies, some who post regularly here,  put photos in ads or have images of women on there site, who are not actually employed by then. The lady on the website, who you think is coming, is always the lady who comes to your door. This is not bait and switch; plain and simple.

No doubt an ulterior motive is the reason behind these posts. Anyone who believes that some sucker is out there doing all this work to help out a bunch of strangers is not seeing what I am.

The post does not just point out all the questionable ads but all the ads on Eros

PLEASE PLEASE do not just read the post and think they are all bad, there are some good one in there to.

I'm just posting the information, it's up to you to decide how you want to use the information.

If I start to play favorites, then the posts are useless.

I will admit that I do pass on the TV/TS ads, not sure if you really want to know how well hung they are.
I will also  pass on very well known agency or ladies (Ie: Aphrodite Companions or Ashley Taylor).

If you think it's unfair I can add them to the list.

But Most Important people if you think what I posted is wrong Please speak (or type) up.

Maybe he or she should just post about providers that they can prove practice bait and switch. We do not use this tactic at all, but that's what the post insinuates.

I do make a note at the end of each little post.  Saying something like:

"Same phone # but Different photos / Phone # leads to multiple ads with different photos"
(See Maria and December post above)

I hope that would be enough to highlight any potential problems.

I don't get why people get bent out of shape over this. All he does is basically does google and tin eye searched on phone numbers and pictures. I've never seen him discredit or  promote any particular add from Eros. Lamont is basically doing what many already do, but posting it to save those you "want" and I emphasize "want" that info to make a deision. No one is forced to read the thread.

As for ads with stock photo's of models, well if you have upscale and attractive models, why not just use thier pictures. 5 pictures of 5 different girls, none of which appear on your site would make me look elsewhere pretty fast.

We have our own reasons as to why we have stock photos on our Eros ad. And an argument can definitely be made as to if that's a good decision. But the girl you think you will meet is always the girl you do meet. Isn't that what's important? Like I said, a lot of respected agencies have images of women on there website who are not employed by them. Is this something that needs to be brought up? I don't think so. What about stock photos in the phonebook; is this false advertising? I keep hearing that the information is put out there for people to make up there own minds. Fair enough. But I'm sure some people quickly scan down the post without looking too deeply into it. They see our name, and that results on tineye have come up, and simply dismiss us. There is more to us than just our Eros ad. If LC was a hobbyist, then maybe you could say the intentions are selfless. I think anybody can easily see that isn't the case.

These posts can be misleading and could be done better.

FWIW I think it would be helpful if he just stuck with hunting down frauds/fake pictures and multiple numbers etc. Even point out the ones with long ad history and no reviews anywhere. Maybe they will respond with something substantial.

First of all, if you have a concern that the user
"LamontCranston" is an agency owner or a independent provider you should probably take that up with TER admin or a moderator seeing as though they can see the IP addresses and usage of each user.

Second of all an two aliases cannot be used in one thread - Lamont has already used his handle here, he would not be permitted to appear as an alias.

Instead of lashing out with baseless allegations because you feel butt-fucked over the fact that you've been caught using stock images (and NO, reputable agencies DON'T use stock photography on their advertisements - bait and switch agencies DO) maybe you should just correct your business practice.

The women on TBDs homepage all worked with him over the years. They are not "Stock" photos of random ladies. Those pictures were all taken by TBD. TBD only has that as their logo, they do not put that picture up on Eros as bait and switch.

You know, the only reason why I responded to this is because I am perturbed that an agency owner is recklessly insinuating that another agency owner or independent provider in the Boston market is culling this information.

Let me ask you something:

Who exactly are you accusing?  If you haven't noticed, there are few "prominent independents" who participate in this board and even fewer female agency owners who participate in this board.

In my experience, Boston providers and services support each other fiercely.  We may bicker but there are very few outliers who are truly manipulative enough to attempt to sabotage another service.  Even services that are technically competition come together at the end of the day in support of one another.  Boston providers with the exception of very few are incredible in terms of references and even referrals when they cannot be available.

Why are you so preoccupied with the notion that LamontCranston is a female?  What purpose would rounding up a handful of bait-and-switch listings serve to any service or provider?
When clients arrive at a B&S's operation they turn around and leave or they don't return.  
This behavior has utterly no impact on a legitimate service or independent, in fact, if a client gets burned by a fake picture it only enhances the sense of trust he feels when he uses the service/independent that doesn't use fake pictures.

Advertise cleanly.  There is absolutely no justifiable reason to put stock images on an Eros ad.  Its a dirty practice, you got caught.  Clean it up and you won't have to point fingers with cryptic claims of sabotage towards your peers.

You sound like a real peach too. In 9 months we've had 2 fools call up and ask for a girl in the Eros ad, both high off their ass. What's your excuse? All of our clients seem know to ask for a lady in our gallery, where the photos are accurate. Instead of just focusing on our Eros ad, can you address the fact that many reputable agencies who post here, have images of women on their website or in the phonebook who are not employed by them? I'm not trying to point fingers at all, but can you tell me the big difference. People don't ask for girls from our Eros ad, they ask for girls in our gallery, get it?

Open your phonebook, research all of the ads for reputable agencies. I don't think using stock photos in an ad is as rare as you think. Take a look at TBD's website homepage; are those women available?

Note to TBD: Not pointing any negative fingers at you, just showing an example.

Having pictures of girls on a static web site who are currently active, or will be appearing, is MUCH different than depicting girls in an "active" Eros add who are in fact "not" available at the time the ad is running.  

That type of advertising is deceptive, classic bait n switch and a just a piss poor way to run a business.

If I see a picture of a girl in an "active" ad on Eros, BP or even an ad here on TER, I expect that girl "IS" available at the time the ad is running.   I "DO NOT" expect to find an advertiser is putting stock photo's of woman, who are in fact "NOT" available, just to attract callers who will then find out the woman pictured is not available, and then be hard sold on who is in the stable that day.

I've alway thought that if Lamont hadn't turned up an issue with a phone # or contradictory hits on Tineye, that what he was saying is there were no obvious bait n switch tactics with that particular provider.   Period.

I never assumed that all the listed woman were either good or bad.   It's clear now that he could be be more precise with what he is reporting, but I've never seen anything malicious in his posts or his intent.

On the other hand, I do find posters who make wild eyed baseless accusations of others, as people who may in fact have something to hide and who I should be weary of.  But, thats just me.

When a client of ours asks for a girl, he gets that girl and nobody else. So I believe this is nitpicking.

Thank you for such a well thought out, fair post. No question it's something to consider. Ter members represent the minority of clientel and we haven't had anyone else question us about this. That doesn't mean it's not fair to question.  To have pictures of a product that you do not offer in an ad is not technically bait and switch. As long as the ad does not state that what's in the picture is actually one of the products. A fine line. We do not lie to anyone about who is coming to their door, and that's what the original post insinuates. Unfortunately, it's human nature to find fault with others. Perhaps we should change our ad so that nobody is confused or mislead. To do that is not our intention. However, I still believe LC's posts could and should be done better.

Lamont didn’t dig up any dirt on anyone and made no accusation.   His post simply stated the FACTS, nothing more.  

His posts simply have:
• The Eros link
• A simple statement of what Tineye reveals about running the pictures in the Eros ad through the Tineye’s search engine.  
• What the Google search of the phone number reveals.  

There is no dirt and there are no accusations.  It’s simply a statement of what his research reveals.   Just the FACTS.  No subjective comment or accusation.  Period.

Lamont’s research reveals there are no questionable hits on tiny, meaning the pictures are likely her pictures, (which we all know they are) and running the phone number thru Google brings you directly to her TER profile, further indicating she is who she says she is and she has credible reviews. (Very nice ones in fact.)

SO in this instance, Lamont’s research verifies Hailey as a quality provider.  
Nothing more!

Whether everyone can understand what Lamont’s presentation means and whether it can be better explained is not in doubt, and I am sure he has taken the constructive comments by Foodyguy, Camille and others to heart and will make adjustments.

What the Eros ad is selling is a theme, an image, an attraction. Those photos are also on our website but nobody confuses them with our gallery. Our actual clients haven't been confused about it at all. Look in the newspapers, watch commercials; many businesses sell an image. Remember the commercial of the pick up truck that gets thrown through the air. You think it's destroyed, but then it drives away and everyone cheers. That's selling an image of the truck being tough. Vehicles don't actually survive that sort of abuse, right? Advertisements like this are common. Clients look at the ad, click on the link to our website, view our gallery and request a girl, and meet that girl. That's what happens. You can argue all day about if it's the right advertising. But to say it's unethical or a dirty practice is way, way over the top. We're not trying to fool anyone and none of our clients seem to be fooled.

Unfortunately there are adults in this world that think and live outside the realm of truth and reality. Really simple and basic ideas but there are still those who either lack the talent or taste to offer a real product and have half the sense God gave a rubber duck when it comes to comprehension of such.

This person whomever they maybe should be LEFT ALONE PLEASE!!! As an established provider, I revel in Lamont and his findings indifferent, good or bad, all the bickering back and forth. Wow, some strong words. I was even called a rude idiot by a poster who doesn't even know me. I have told a few posters that I understand the point. These personal attacks say a lot more about the people they are coming from, than it does me. Saying that I think LC is a provider is not insulting, is it?  I have absolutely no beef with Lamont making these posts. Over and over I have said 2 things; the girl you think is coming is the girl who shows up, and I think LC's posts could be done better. LC is trying to fine tune things, to their credit. We could also do some things better, most people can. Some people are taking this a little too far.

Truth be told, I went into the Eros ad to put real pictures in a couple days ago. I put in 1 and had to stop due to a personal issue. I now realize that this put us in the "what's new" section, which is apparently how LC found us. It's interesting to me to see how some people can be so closed minded;  the "I am right and that's it" mentality. It's not always so black and white. You don't always know the circumstances behind things.
