Yes, in many ways.  But some have been around for a week or two (does BP charge?) and they have "real-looking" phone numbers (not a contact me though this "safe website"...

Backpage might be worse than CL! I've seen legit providers there, but if you don't recognize the provider ahead of seeing them there, not worth the risk.
