Girls, what do you use to verify if a client is coming? I had to start asking clients to call me the morning of to confirm, I get a lot who say " Oh I can't call I am working" or other excuses, in which case I don't usually see them. Too many people don't show up, and I want to weed out the bad clients. I now have a guy threatening me because I didn't "save" his time because he didn't call me to confirm as I asked twice in email to do. He tells me I am rude and unprofessional. I don't see tons of clients a day or even many in a week. I try to limit it so I can enjoy myself as well. I just want decent, real, down to earth clients and if they ask a lot of questions in email or over the phone it sets off my radar so I don't usually see them, or if they can't follow my simple procedure. I am just wondering what should one do when they go off the wall and threaten you?

On a serious note, every provider screens differently, and some PAY someone else to do the screening. Yes, ask this on  the P.O. board!   ;-)

That is nasty! I sure hope that's not a self portrait...

In reading your post, it seems that you are dealing with how to confirm with a client after the appt has been initially set.

As soon as you post a question regarding "verification", you'll likely get all sorts of opinions on verification, and not on confirming the appt the day of the appt.  Can you confirm?

Did I misunderstand your post?

not uncommon and since his reaction was so nasty, aren't you glad you did Not see him now!

Asking for a client to call to confirm is not unreasonable......
