Even if the individual gives you the " i am not a cop" statement doesn't make it true.  It is my understanding that LE can lie during undercover work.  The image they portray in itself is a lie.  So be careful when swimming with sharks, you may get eaten.

The habit of asking (by hobbyist OR provider) "are you a cop?" has no basis in reality. LE has been known to have intercourse with a provider before arresting her. The theory that they can't arrest you because it's "entrapment" is from the movies.

If she doesn't respond to your queries about LE, then she may be LE. Or she may be afraid to answer because she thinks even discussing LE will get her into trouble somehow - or maybe that somehow it means YOU are LE. Maybe she doesn't understand the question. Maybe she's tired of playing e-mail tag.

CL can be a gamble...you have to be careful....since I've moved to central NH, I've found 3 great providers on CL. The minute I met each one, you could tell they were legit. I've enjoyed them and will continue to do so. I'm thinking, closer to larger cities LE will get more involved.
