Oh Snap,

I agree with 3timesavirgin in his response. Be safe and be careful here online.

You post with an alias, so Im not sure how to respond here.

All I know is that it is smart to post pics here blurred.....why?   Like you said, you have to be discreet, you never know WHO is going to see you here online.  Thats why I post pics blurred. I like being able to go to the supermarket without someone in line saying.....Wow, your hot, I saw you online at www.theeroticreview.com! lol

Heck, you never know who will see you here online, could be a boss, a mother, a father, children or an exboyfriend who wants revenge, so be smart and be blurred! So far, so good, in almost 4 yrs, because of my blurred pics, no one has ever personally asked me about being an escort!  Be safe and play safe!!!!! :)

Once you do your thorough screening, via a work # and references, then and only then, can you send unblurred pics of yourself!  Bottom line.....men are not stupid, they read reviews here!  They know instinctively what they want!  If you have good reviews, you are HOT!

Reminds me........I have not asked anyone for a review in awhile....lol  Maybe I should?   I like being somewhat under the radar nowadays! lol ;)  Maybe Im just playing safe? ;)

Play safe!:)

I was thinking about showing my face in my pics while visiting, I blur out my face while at home because Im afraid of family finding out...who knows, my dad is probably a hobbyist! . Do you guys think this is too risky?
Do you think there is a large advantage to showing ones face if she is very pretty or do the disadvantages outweigh the good?

Please excuse the alias, Thank you

visiting is not as risky, but U can always send someone a face PIC once U semi verified him

thanks, I may end up doing that.

My personal thought is preserve your own security above all else.  That makes it a little more difficult for the hobbyist to make up his/her mind but that's a chance they have to take.  If you have any reviews then people will be able to get a rough idea of how attractive you are from those reviews... although I appreciate beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

However, once you post that face pic it can generally be retrieved and people from your local board might want to share it.

Thank you for the lovely father's day gift.  LOL

Even though I'd like to see faces, to be honest, I think there's very little upside from your point of view.

The thing about the internet is that once you 'publish' a photo, you lose all control over its distribution because anyone can copy it.  Whether you put the photo on a website for the world to see, or just send a single copy to one other person, its now out of your control.  That one person might post it on a website themselves, or forward a copy to then of their friends who send it on to ten of their friends, etc.

In your case, you don't really need to control the photo's distribution - just control the context in which the photo is viewed.  A photo in which you are fully and innocently clothed does not, by itself, imply anything.

So, what I would do is get a myspace page, put the innocent photo on the myspace page along with a couple of the typical things people write on myspace pages.

Then in your advertising you can include the myspace photo along with your more provocative images.  Make sure that the innocent photo is not from the same photo-shoot as the other images.

If anyone copies the photo with your face it does not reveal anything else about you.  It's just a snapshot that you put up on myspace.  And if someone really tries to connect the dots with the other provocative photos, you've got plausible deniability - it's another woman in the other photos, she must have stolen your picture from myspace because she thinks she looks like you but didn't want to use her own picture...

...it IS possible for someone to unblurr it.  I crop my pictures at my nose down, mouth down, or neck down.  Or if I show my eyes, I'll just show that.  I try not to show full face ever.

When I used to do online dating thru the romance sites...I was flirting and sent a "kitty shot" to some guy but blurred it out by smearing it I think.  The guy sent back my picture UNSMEARED with it basically looking like my original.  I was shocked!  Thank goodness he was someone I trusted but what if he wasn't?  I had smeared it in a cheap program I got with my scanner.  He used Photoshop I think to unsmear it.  He said if it was the same program, it would have been easier.  ---not even the same program, and computer art stuff is not his occupation but look what happened.  So that just goes to show you that anything is possible these days and you're not completely safe.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Also, like 3timesavirgin mentioned above, you don't know who's distributing your shots.  I notice that alot of new escort sites go up and they use pictures of mine from other sites and basically run a profile without my permission.  Thank goodness none of my pictures have been face shots because I crop them.  But think about it.  What happens when you want to retire one day?  And a year or two later, some new site emerges like I just mentioned.  And to start filling their site to make it look like lots of girls advertise there, they use old pictures from around the web on sites you long forgot you advertised on (and forgot to cancel once you retired).  If it has face shots of you, then you're always going to be online--some body you don't want to see it is going to see it and you're promising future might get turned all around.
Some things to think about.
