I almost always carry something into the room when I visit the ladies. A laptop case, briefcase, etc., but Dunks coffee is always a safe bet. I ask (Jill?) what the lady might like. Makes we look more like I 'm returning to my room.

Anyway, if there's anyone in the hall, especially the maid, I knock on the door and say "Hon, I'm back, I left the key in the room" .... don't know if this works, but I feel sure feel better!

I can even say hi to the maid :)

and you don't think they know what's going on, now many, "Hon, I'm back..." they've heard before? Are you wearing dark shades and a Red Sox cap?

A guy I work with gets the paper every morning. If I have a "date" that afternoon I grab it on the way out to look like I just went downstairs to get the paper (as if anyone reads them anymore)

Weekends I might grab my gym bag. If I'm seeing an Indy I ask if she wants anything at BK or McD's and pick it up on the way.

My last date the maid supervisor was checking room to room as I went down the hall! I got to the door and fumbled with my wallet "looking for my key card" and lucked out the lady I was seeing saw me and opened the door :-)

Always an awkward moment!!

If you just stop and think for a second how many times you traveled with your girlfriend/wife and you or her run out of the room with out the key? I travel alot and never will have the key in my hand unless you put in it ..So when you come back and bang loud yes as loud as you want ,would you be nervous ? no because you dont care what maid or who ever is there thinking  about  you or what is she thinking about . no one knows why you knocking at the door its all in your head ..

if you think that the housekeepers do not know what is goin on you are mistaken. This logic may work with husband/boyfriend #1 but what about guy's 2-..... it is better when the girl is waiting and the door just opens maid cannot tell if you used a key or not and there is less attention drawn to you. I always hate the wait in the hall the maids are watching as you approach and do talk be safe

Amen!

I always carry something with me when I go see a lady - not for camouflage but a little something for the lady. As for the maids - most don't care even if they know what is going on.

Like someone said above - head high, eye contact and a hello always works.

Its all in your head people- think (with the big one not the little one:-) )

Housekeeping staff are often given a little bonus for tipping off management on which rooms might have escorts in them. Some hotels don't mind, but there are many, many that do. Ladies, there is a ton of information out there on how to stay safe. Find it and read it.

I usually carry a step ladder, can of paint and paint brush with me and tell the maids that I'm a brand new guy on the repair crew.  Sometimes I carry a plunger and drain snake (in addition to my trouser snake :-) ).  If fools them EVERY time.  They never suspect a thing.

Except for one time -- true story -- my hostess is listening and checking the peephole and says the coast is clear.  I exit right as a male cleaning staff guy is walking by: young, white, clean cut, American (perfect English, no accent, not even a trace of Boston) and he says to me with a shit eating grin, "Hello Sir, I hope you're enjoying your stay at our hotel."  He knew.  He fucking knew.  He knew there were two hot young girls in those rooms for 2 or 3 days.  He had probably been sniffing their panties while cleaning the rooms while they were out.  And we're walking together to the elevator ... grrrrrr

I might not post here that often but have been with as many of the lovely ladies as most of you.
careful is careful. Paranoia, I'd just stay away. I don't. And don't expect me to believe that when YOU walk in, you have zero apprehension. Its fuckin normal, part of the rush.
