I've been seeing ads posted around, presumably by an agency, that appear to be targeting amateur women. The gist is that they will arrange an all-expenses-paid stay in Boston (including transportation), where you will stay for a week in a nice hotel, entertain well-screened clients, earn thousands, then go home like nothing happened. The same ad has appeared, with variations in wording, in different cities.

Has anybody here heard of this? Any idea who is behind it, and what their reputation is? The short-term recruitment of amateur women could be seen as a creative way of generating a stream of fresh faces who would otherwise never have considered providing. It could also be some kind of giant red flag. Just being cautious. Thoughts?

The "Red Flag" in this case is the site on which the ad appears.  No legit agency would have any thing to do with CL.

It is a common scam, There is a network of pimps accross the country. They promise you everything, take ALL of your money, threaten to beat you up or somes do. You are stuck in a cheap crappy motel with no money to get home. I know this for a fact as I have had a few girls, that got into this same situation. I had to come rescue them.

DO NOT fall for this!

Jill:)

Of course it's legit,it sounds like a great opportunity to me, what could possibly go wrong? CL is full of legitimate business opportunities for young women looking to make thousands of dollars per week.It sounds to me like a nice businessman just trying to help some young women out in these tough economic times. Personally I would try to get a Cadillac thrown into the deal,or at the very least daily spa treatments at the 4 star hotel.

It is a scam.

If you want to travel to Boston I would highly recommend you either try working with one of the well known agencies up here (Bella Donna, Room Service Girls, Ninas Genuine Diamonds etc...) or if you are a legit indy you could probably get a 'booker' up here to do your phones.

With all due respect, I'm not sure Jill should be referring to "PIMPS!!" in a negative way without looking like the proverbial pot to kettle.
We can throw out all the words we like to throw out while trying to pretend that what we are doing out here is really that much better than what we are really doing out here.
We guys pay the money for companionship, and Jill provides women to provide the companionship.
A spade by any other color is still a spade.

Twalker,

There is a huge difference between what I do and a pimp.

A Pimp forces girls to work, my ladies choose to have me represent them.

A pimp takes every dime the ladies make including any tips they may get. The ladies I represent pay me a small booking fee for my phone services, advertising, their safety and access to my extensive client base. They get to keep what they make, including all tips.

The ladies I represent get to choose their hotels  and can come and go as they please. A pimp sticks the girls in a dump and has someone watch the room to make sure the girls can't leave.

The ladies I represent work their own set schedule, not 24/7 like pimp girls.

My girls do not get beaten up or threatened if they don't make a quota. They choose how many clients they would like to visit with.

To put me or any reputable service owner in the same catagory as a pimp is an insult. The ladies saftey and well being is my main concern, not how much $$ I can make off them.

Jill:)

Great answer Jill...amazing how small minded some members of TER are. They have no idea the difference between the two as you stated. How close minded and ignorant to the business they really are. Do your homework before you post and save yourself the embarrassment of you looking like an idiot from what you post on here. The difference is NIGHT and DAY !!!!

The definition of a pimp: A person who solicits customers for prostitutes, usually in return for a share of the earnings...a pimp usually does not force a girl to work; one who finds customers for a prostitute...The dictionary doesn't seem to refer to it as a "small booking fee"...Hmmm...I guess being called a Madam is kinda like calling a garbage man a "trash consultant", or a janitor a "custodial technician". Come to think of it my bookie does prefer to be called a "sports consultant". I guess the vig he charges is the booking fee. We can call it whatever we want, but we all know what it is.

Thanks guys. It did sound rather shady, but you have to admit your industry operates under different circumstances in general. The average, ignorant civvie has no idea what's considered "normal practice" in this world when it comes to recruitment.

Bostonguy57 - I would disagree that appearing on CL automatically sends a red flag just by itself. The local artists' group used CL to recruit a nude model; a guy at my university used it recruit a chalking artist; both instances I witnessed personally as legit. I've met up with nice people from the personals who didn't try to murder me - three times. Using CL is a matter of being cautious, doing your homework, and applying common sense, in order to avoid the scams. It's the offer of transportation, lodging, and secrecy that makes the ad suspicious, not the site on which it appears necessarily.

Jill - Thanks for the warning. If this is a common tactic, then my suspicions are confirmed. Point taken.

One part of me wants to rage at the guys who devalue what you do Jill, but I do see where both sides are coming from.

Even though, we both know there are different "tiers" of the business, the basics are that there are women who offer sexual pleasure at some point in the appointment/date, some of these women are represented by an agent (man or woman) and the dates/appointments/sessions are asked for by men willing to pay money for this accommodation.  Simply put, there's a trashy and classy version of this scenerio. Unfortunately, there are many trashy, disrespectful, shallow, internally ugly men who can afford (and want) to manage or buy the classy version. They are the ones who really cause much of the business dangers, safety hazards, board trolling and much much more. They've always been out there since the start of this very old profession and they'll continue to troll the industry at all levels of exclusivity.

Jill, we both know there are agency owners who offer the same service you do, but they are just as trashy as the ghetto man on the streets doing the same thing. Regardless of the title, just keep doing what you're doing. Many quality gentlemen in New England have respect for what you're doing and many of us ladies (Indys and non) like how you conduct yourself and your business. I may not work for you, but I've never hesitated referring guys to your business b/c of how you've treated my clients when they've desired dates from your agency.

Chin up hun and kudos.

XO,
Baylee
