I understand why you use CL but, sometimes it might help to have a reputable agency represents you. There are plenty of them out there BD, RSG, VGF come to mind; They already have a well established clientele where you don't have to worry about having one of your GFs on standby.

BOSTON -- A Framingham man was arrested and accused Monday of answering an ad a woman posted on Craigslist and then attacking her when they met.

NewsCenter 5's Jack Harper reported Monday that police said that the woman was assaulted at a Hilton Hotel in Burlington, and now police are questioning if the suspect, Reinaldo Prado, is connected to other assault cases at area hotels.

"Made a date via the online Web site Craigslist for prostitution at an establishment in Burlington. When he showed up at the hotel, he robbed the victim of her valuables and sexually assaulted her," Burlington Police Department Detective Matthew Leary said.

Before leaving, officials said he threatened the woman.

"He grabbed her driver's license, looked at it and said, 'I know where you live, and if you report this to the police, I will kill you,'" prosecutor Amanda Rowan said.

Police in Tewksbury and Cambridge are looking to see if Prado is connected to similar incidents.

"They found the victim's -- in this case -- laptop. They found her cell phone. They found numerous other cell phones and a laptop, which may also be linked to those other offenses in Cambridge and Tewksbury," Rowan said.

Rowan said that a BB gun was also found in Prado's car. He was held without bail, and a dangerousness hearing was set for Thursday.

This is probably the guy who was talked about here a few weeks ago after a lady got robbed. At the time I predicted he would probably never get caught. I am happy to be proven wrong!  The creep got greedy and hopefully won't get a chance to terrorize another provider.

Ladies just have to be careful.  A guy can see a couple of providers and get good references, then pull this crap.  Don't know what the answer is, maybe a can of pepper spray near by.

Vetting a potential client is a good thing for both parties involved. I can't figure out that for the life of me; why would certain providers still using CL to advertise?  I hope they send him away for a long time !

We use CL because boards like this don't bring in enough for us to pay the bills. When you are not a model, and don't want to be up on big sites like eros, CL lets me be available days I want. This is why my solution is to always have one of my girlfriends close by. I have had bad experiences. Thankfully I don't leave money in the room, I don't own anything overly expensive and my laptop is worthless :-) I think I saw it on ebay for $100 I had a couple of my regulars write to ask if I am ok.  Very sweet, I am and so are my friends :-) Thanks Guys!

In this case CL was only part of the issue, lack of screening was the big problem. A girl can run ads on any escort mall, run a weekly post here on TER and also use CL to post immediate availability. A lot of very successful girls do.  The difference is in the screening.  Yes, CL is a quagmire but in it's simplest form it is simply a place to post you contact information. What a lady does after the phone rings is what is really important.

Of course the problem is only exacerbated by the fact that most guys whom use CL are cheap and don't want to be screened. CL is simply another tool of the hobby on both sides. Whether it works or not depends on how you use it.

How many other's didn't report the assaults?

The guy is reported to be 29 yrs of age.    He looks his age.  The photo must be the mug shot from the police.

Article also states "Prado also had a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer warrant for his arrest."

...And this is a great relief for Boston area providers who have quietly circulated information for months.

Since manufacturers can now make real guns out of plastic, you can't tell whether toy gun or not in the heat of the moment or not.
