I know many guys that have gone through what you are anticipating.  Each and everyone has returned to the life.  It may take awhile, or you may have something different from their issues, but do try for a positive outlook.

I am a firm believer that the mind is an outstanding means of a cure.  I did not start this hobby until I had two cancer surgeries over a dozen years ago.

In the mean time good luck!!
Foody is one of the class guys in town.  Draw strength from his words and from your internal self.  Best wishes.

I'm a respectful and generous 57 yr young gentleman looking for one last fling.
The month of January will be my last opportunity to meet any of you lovely ladies because I will be operated on for prostate cancer in February, all but ending my hobby life.  So, If you want to make a memory to last a lifetime, I can be had, one last time!  Feel free to send me a message at snooze-u-loose @hushmail.com

I hope someone contacted you... I have asked myself what I would do in your situation and your response is the same as mine.. Take out a second mortgage if you have to, and make it count !

Money is no a problem for me, I have more than I can spend in one lifetime.
I know that life is a one way journey, this part of my life is ending and will never be back.....   So making this count is important to me.  I want to go out in style!

If you have the time and can travel go to LA and see Miko Lee, she is the fling of a lifetime.

Best of luck with the upcoming surgery.

Hello Darling,
I have been with a lot of gentlemen that had problems like that, but each person is different.  It is not the end.  It is a beginning to save your life.  Only you can make yourself happy and accept it, but never give up of what you love to do and enjoy it.  There are other way to enjoy it as well Sweetie.  I do travel all over in New England and I do have lots of patience and understanding as well.  So, why don't you check me out at my site and email me at your convenience.  If for some reason we don't connect, I wanted to wish you "Good Luck."  Remember, you never have to give up of what you love to do that make you happy.

Lots of Hugs and Kisses,
Missy

There's a Doctors office in Framingham on Route 9 west bound that might be able to help you. You give yourself injections. I don't know if I can post their info here without getting in hot water. Not a vip so no email.

Thanks, I know about hormone treatments, they reduce the testosterone levels and slow the progression of the cancer.  Not good for me, because Dr's say my expected life should be 30 +/- more years.  That all but eliminates hormone treatments as well as  radiation treatment, (because the long term effects of radiation is other forms of cancer 15 +/- years out).  Cryo treatments are not yet proven to be effective long term, so they are not for me either.    If I were 10-15  years older, the options open up more because my life expectancy would be that much shorter.  I have the best Dr's in Boston, they are open to all treatment options.  If I want that 30 more years of life, I need to follow their recommendations.

I give this advice all the time to people. If you eat whole foods only, it makes a huge difference. Avoid anything with chemicals, chemical preservatives, artificial flavoring or colors. Stick to Organic if you can. For every food you like, there is a healthy alternative. If you like popcorn, look for GMO free and organic. If you like soda pop, you can find healthier versions at organic grocers. Just always read ingredient labels and make sure the list has all whole and real foods. I think this is a major problem in food in America and why so many people are getting sick. Our ancestors were never exposed to the chemicals we now have in our food. Our bodies are not strong enough to constantly be detoxing the chemicals we put into it. Food can either break us down or build us up. It can prolong life and energize, or it can shorten life and deteriorate us. Sometimes we have to relearn everything that we were taught about eating. But if we stick to whole and real foods, organic grown without additives, then we will see a huge improvement in overall wellbeing. If you would like more nutritional advice, please email me and I'll tell you some natural remedies

I wish you luck, whomever you decide to see. But please take this advice with you, as it will make all the difference in the world for you. Lots of Love this holiday season. Get well soon xoxo

Hello, I appreciate your honesty and genuine character. You sound like a sweet and wonderful person, and I'd be happy to become your friend. I know quite a lot about natural healing through foods. Socrates said, "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food". I'd be happy to give you a few suggestions on foods, herbs, ect to help you. I'm in western MA in a charming place with a fireplace. If you don't mind a little drive, it's a wonderful place and I'd very much welcome you here. And can give you a few natural remedies to help too.

Some years ago my PSA suddenly went up a lot. I'm early 60's. The specialists in question (I saw 4), gave me 4 choices since the biopsy showed no escape from the gland. 2 radiation choices and 2 surgical and one do nothing. 6 months later I picked the radioactive pellets because they have about the same success rate (all of which are 90%+) as the surgery and you don't have to be cut up.

Not once did any of them mention a side effect 30 years from now of an elevated risk of cancer.
In part I suspect because it is likely that something else will get me before then.

Now I get glowing reports from the lovely ladies I see. I positively radiate happiness. All equipment still works however the new basic biology of my prostate means I'm shooting blanks.

I have heard of and met people who had only surgery as a choice because the anomaly had escaped the gland. You might lose function if the nerves gotta go.

In case anyone doesn't get the feeble humor of the above, the  radiation required disappears in about 6 weeks so I nor anyone else treated like this actually exhibits any long term glow.

Lessons learned:
1: Second opinions are irreplaceable especially from another surgeon who won't make a dime off the procedure either way.
 2: Positive outlook means everything
3 This is one situation where medicine works, the 90% cure rate is not B S
4 I wish I did what your planning. My suggestion would be Darryl Hanah for an all nighter.
5 If you have a dick get a PSA test every year.

Good luck and let us know how things progress.

That's a great post, erewhon. I may only add, try not to neglect the mental/emotional side of recovery. I don't mean to sound like I'm parachuting in to your situation and start telling you the wisdom of the ages, I just mention it because it's easy to lose track of the mental aspect of recovery.

I appreciate your insights and the compliment. Thank you.  I have recently learned of something called "PSA  Bounce" which is not  me doing push ups atop breathtaking brook. Staying calm and carrying on is important. Thank you.

the ultimate in memorable experiences...a lunch date with Alexandra Noelle and Breathtaking Brooke.

you are guaranteed an experience that will Rock Your World!

This is great advice, and believe this, if you want to return and money is no object then this is not the end of your career!
I have a friend that had this procedure 5 years ago and discovered the hobby after not before and the son of a bitch is active with top providers 3-4 times a month and his business takes him on the road frequently and affords him the chance to see ladies all over the country.

Think Peyton Manning here. Told he would be ineffective after neck surgery he took a year off and just made sportsman of the year on SI (I disagree) with their choice but the recovery is real.

I expect to see future reviews from you and await your illustrious return.

Take Nicole's advice it's a great way to go on injured reserv

The situation calls for all the trimmings a man could ask for.
I can bring you the magic...You know what to do, ;)
