I miss seeing the full threads in the discussion board.  This will take some getting used to.
Be safe everyone! :)

Of course my initial reaction was that i was seeing things due to waking up at ungodly hour of 5am (somebody did not pack for her trip to Boston the night before cause somebody was being naughty)

Then after couple of redbulls and coffee it dawned on me ... we enter the new era and for a change it's not all my fault :)

Ha, ha : )  Or is it just me!? : )

I do like this new lay-out and colors for TER : )  When anything changes, it will take a little while to get completely used to it : )   A very wise hobbyist once told me, "Change is a good thing" : )

Have a wonderful week everyone! : )

I rarely like change; but will figure it out. I do like the color scheme; it is more bold and easier to view but jeez, for a Monday morning this is too much excitement! Lol.

Testing 1,2,3,...

Looks like this new format automatically includes the originnal post when you reply.

Also looks like a newly replied-to post gets bumped to the top of the list?  I hope that is not true.

This will take some getting used to.

the smaller text, and the lighter colors are hurting my eyes
I am sure I will get used to it, but so far for me not a improvment

Simply click on Ctrl and the + key simultaneously, and the whole page will get bigger. It is the zoom feature in both Mozilla and IE.  Click Ctrl and 0, and it goes back to the default. Clicking Ctrl and the - key will make it zoom out.

ditto....I am somewhat color-blind, and the pale colorted type makes it waaay less than clear....not a happy clamper !!

Between the review numbers being hidden for VIP only, message board policies which have discouraged users including but not limited to the stifling of information exchange about providers by removal of content and now a site revision which has left most of us scratching our heads- I think that TER is making decisions which are leading to an imminent implosion.

The new layout is unattractive, difficult to navigate, it isn't intuitive and it hasn't reinvented the wheel.

I can see this change alienating even more longtime users and I expect providers who are TER-associated / advertisers will likely feel an impact.

I do hope that TER listens to its base of core users and will do the right thing.  Going full speed ahead in the wrong direction is irritating to us and detrimental to the longevity and relevance of the site.

At least this will temporarily cull my addiction to reading TER.  It's making my damn eyes strain and giving me a headache.

as always, very well said, ally.

in the meantime, the old site is still available at http://classic.theeroticreview.com/ which is where i'll be until they turn off the spigot.

interestingly enough, there's decent activity at other boards, though i always felt the brow was a bit higher on this one. too bad it's now pretty unusable. interesting to see which way the invisible hand waves on this move.

Thank you TC!!!
The new site hurts my eyes. the print is way too small and to light. I will now bookmark this site. I hope they do'nt turn off the spigot.

Jill:)

Jill I hope they don't turn off the spigot just yet either.

Now about those Magic Brownies...
doesn't sound like I can find those at Shaw's.

Grace can you bake ;)?

Sorry Grace, I have to agree with Ally on this one.
XOXOX to you both

Ally, well put. Creeping change is bad change

I think some magic brownies might actually improve my opinion of the new TER.  Because obviously whoever designed and made the decision to go ahead with the new format was on drugs.

if it aint broken, leave it alone.does not work well with the blackberry.
