I agree with Mandy

The change in CL listing policies is an opportunity for  successful escorts to screen out the less desirable clients and build successful, safe businesses.

I am gettinhg tired of all of the sensational headlines associated with the death of the poor woman from NY. If we have learned anything, safety, screening and 1 on 1 relationship building is the key to success in this business.

Jill at RSG has maintained her standards without relying on CL

my 2 cents

I was listening to "Talk of the Nation" on NPR this afternoon and the topic was "Does Craigslist Promote Prostitution?".  Much of the focus was on the "Craigslist Killer" in Boston.  They had the CEO of Craiglist (Jim Buckmaster) and the host answering questions from callers.  Most of the calls were fairly predictable, including a massage therapist who said she stopped using CL because of all the men out there propositioning her for sex (Obviously she missed the "Men are Pigs" memo).

But, one woman, who called herself as "Mandy" from Hartford, CT, called and identified herself as an escort.  She pointed out that most successful escorts avoid using CL because of the fear of LE monitoring and that stalkers and killers have many ways to discretely pursue victims and that if CL tightened its restrictions, these creeps would just find another way.

I just wanted to congratulate this woman for calling in and giving a perspective that I'm certain is lacking from a lot of the morality discussions regarding prostitution.  So "Mandy", if you are reading this, I for one appreciated your candor and your comments.  Thanks for calling in!
