I think joining something that interest you will expose you to someone with some similar interest in any location.
Try taking a photography class, or join a pool league or a million things in between. Chances are by broadening your horizons you will also meet people, make new friends and if one of them is not for you, who knows they may know someone. As they get to know you, they could say, my friend would love you, can I introduce you to her sometime?

Thanks for the thoughts Penny! Yes, I agree that pursuing interests like art, yoga or photography is a great way to meet members of the opposite sex. But, most people you meet that way fall into the category of LTRs. I was thinking more of NSA sorts of situations... What do women do when they're horny and want a one night stand around here? Maybe Boston just isn't the place for such.
