Hi Everyone,

I don't remember seeing this so if it has been discussed, sorry.

Does anyone have an I-phone App that they use to hide hobby contacts ? Something with a discrete icon and password protection ??

I have a work I-phone that I use to hobby and can't always keep it out of prying eyes.

Thanks

Description
An iPhone calculator that works – and looks! – exactly like any other calculator until you type in your secret passcode. The calculator then turns into a private storage app in which you can hide your most secret photos, videos, notes, and more. There is also a private web browser included that does not save any history on your phone and allows you to save secret bookmarks within the app

It looks pretty cool.   To set up your password on it you type in a 4 digit code and then the % sign.  it will have you repeat it and then press % again.    and it's set up.   anytime you want to access your secret stuff you just put in your 4 digit code and press % and it comes up.

Otherwise it looks and works like a normal calculator.

There are a few others too but this one looks the best.

I know there are a lot to choose from, I was looking for feedback on one that someone has actually used. :-)

$20 buys you an anonymous phone with minutes for three months. Add minutes as needed. FOr leass that $100 per year, you have a safe and secure way to keep contacts, make appts, etc.

Using your work phone for the hobby is just asking for trouble.

Mr Brian Fellows has good advice. Work phones are owned by the employer. Your employer can confiscate your phone and demand you open the app, reveal what you are using the phone for. Nothing good can come of this. You could fly under the radar for a while. But your employer is going to wonder why, say, TER shows up on the list of IPs you visited with their phone/service. Especially the one month that you went over data by mistake when you left a stream service run through 4g.

A couple years ago I got involved with an employee in one of my western offices who busted data by mistake with Pandora and racked up a big bill. But his list of data, IP access had mostly on line porn and gambling sites. We had to fire him. It was a blatant violation of our policies which are in place to protect the employer from HR lawsuits, etc. He was, otherwise, a good employee and we did not enjoy losing him.

What if a provider calls your phone, leaves a voicemail, whatever. may not be an issue.

But, what if someone, for some reason, being a provider or maybe her boyfriend/pimp/whatever, decides that by knowing your real identity and where you work, wants to fuck with you?  You wouldn't be the first to be blackmailed or outed for the wrong reason.

Don't learn lessons that so many before you have painfully experienced.

They are good points, but were not what I was asking.

I can remotely wipe my phone if it it was turned over to my employer. I am jugging 2 phones now a 3rd while being good advice is not what I am looking for.

There is no way I can explain carrying or having 3 phones to my SO.

Thanks for the suggestions though. :-)

I use Google Voice that is a web based VOIP, separate phone # and can store contacts. You can download an app or use through a webpage. Has a do not disturb function that is nice plus gives you a separate # for hobbing

Wiping the phone is one thing.................. being outed by the wrong person to your work or SO is another.

You can get a basic/flip phone like tracfon with 20 bucks at ay pharmacy, wal mart or radio shack store. you need to activate it the add 60 minutes with 20 bucks only if you run out of minutes. Limit your conversations to save minutes. So just send a text message with your clear booking for a time and place (example of adult session booking:"8pm, my house, Boston ma") so your minutes will last longer.
I also have advices about out call options in which you reserve a hotel online or by phone room bookings close to Boston such as Hotel Indogo in Newton Falls, Holiday inn in Somerville or Cambridge, hotels in Waltham, Winchester etc.
Email me here and I will tell you more about getting a location (for conducting adult sessions) i an affordable manner (60- 80 bucks online or by phone booking with hotel sites) then invite your preferred adult provider there.

I used sendhub for a while, and it was awesome... mostly because the initial minutes and messages were free, there was a fair amount of them considering all, and they didn't expire.  Now, you have to sign up immediately with a payment method and for obvious reasons many people wouldn't want to use a card/itunes to pay for it.  Burner is supposed to be good but it looks like each number has a limited shelf life. I just downloaded it to check out, but I might not get to really check it out/use it for hobbying before the seven day freebie is gone.  It's looking more and more like a walmart/7-11 burner is the best option.
