The question of the day is:

As a hobbyist what would you do if you found out your wife or SO were cheating on you??  

Would you:

A: Do nothing, having the attitude of what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
Knowing if she is busy hiding her cheating, you are more free to hobby. Be something like having an open marriage.

B. Would you confront her and tell her to stop seeing that person but you would continue
to hobby.

C. Go totally nuts file for divorce, know that her divorce lawyers would be digging deep
into your life and would most likely find out about your hobbing, opening up a whole new world of trouble for you.


Yes this is a deep question.

Also guy no using the classic Henny Youngman line: "Take my wife...Please take my wife!"

D.  Find out who the guy is, go out to dinner with him and try to arrange a 3some...

or

E.  Same as D except find out if his SO or wife would be interested in joining the party.

Never though of that one. Good answer.

Just some food for thought....
As a hobbyist you are compensating for a model's time and attention. If your wife is "cheating" on you I can almost guarantee that she is not compensating for their time, (lol that would be odd). Women that are not in the business are close minded as to how the real world works, it's at an emotional level. I'm not saying that us girl's can catch feelings for a client BUT business first. Why bring it up and cause drama, because if that were the case, you do know that upon discovery you as the man in the relationship will look like a jerk. Men need variety in their lives, it's been like this since the Jane and Tarzan days, didn't prince's and kings have multiple wives?? So nothing is different now, besides the fact that we live in a more modern world.... and hey at the end of the day "it's always cheaper to keeper" :0)

Monogamy is a societal forced myth.

What if a lady's SO or husband found out she is in the hobby?

A. You (husband) would feel liberated and confess to being in the hobby as well

B. Ask her help in getting into the hobby.

C. Be horrified and feel betrayed and make a fuss

D. Ask her to share in the family expense

...lots of options here!

Most definitely the first choice: (A)

As usual the answer depends on your circumstances.  Is she cheating for variety or intimacy?  Most guys who hobby do it for variety and for the most part intimacy is no more an issue than it is with your doctor.  Obviously there is a wide range here from clinical to near girlfriend but given that you are paying for the other person's time it's ultimately about business.  In my mind if an emotional relationship develops beyond the business relationship, then that's cheating.  Most women aren't looking for variety.  They are looking for intimacy and thus are cheating.  

If she's only looking for variety I'd go for option A.  It's only fair.  If she is seeing this person and developing an intimate relationship, then your options depend on whether you care about the marriage.  If it's only a matter of convenience/habit/whatever, then option A still seems the best.  It will also keep her distracted enough (if she hasn't already figured it out) for you to continue hobbying.  If you do care, then option B seems reasonable but to make it fair you should probably figure out why she needed someone else's comfort.  If you can't meet her needs, then you should divorce.  Given the fact that you know she is cheating, she's in no better position then you are.
