At least you spoke with her. All I got was her vioce mail "leave a message if your important I'll get back to you". Her voice mail was nat set up to take any messages. Like Bostonguy57 said it's CL.
That there is a whole universe of ladies and gents out there who have never heard of review boards in general and ter in particular.
Some have and prefer not to participate. Could be because they really do find it distatefull or could be because they could not get good review / screened? Sort of "grapes are green" thing.
I don't think he is asking whether he should see her. More like seeking our reaction to her statements.
Ultimately, it all comes down to risk aversion.
Those who prefer to minimise the risks participate in review process.
Those who seek thrill of instant chase and high risk - don't
Personally I think you would have to be nuts to ever see someone like this woman. First impressions mean alot, and my first impression of this woman is that she is rude and unfriendly. There is a nice way of telling a prospective client that you have no reviews, and she chose to be rude, that says alot about her. At the end of the day it's your money and your decision on how to spend it. This is definitely a buyer beware situation. With all of the excellent providers on this board with great reviews, why would anyone venture out to CL? I guess to save a few bucks, but it's not worth it when you have to deal with people like this.Good luck, I have a feeling you're going to need it.
You handled it well. It is primarily about safety. Since she rejected this argument, I would definitely avoid. Beyond the safety issue, there are plenty of responses to the question "Do you need another man to tell you what you like?"
How about:
"No, but I prefer to have at least a few people (better yet, one person I trust), confirm that you are as advertised."
"Look, I'm just an honest guy who wants to spend my hard earned cash and limited time with you. I have gotten ripped off before. If I can't get any assurance you're for real, I can't book."
I'm also wary of people who call others nasty trash. Could be a bit of projection. Finally, since I assume you are quoting pretty accurately, I would say this person has a bad attitude. Is it possible that she is just harsh and lacking a sense of customer service on the phone, and in person she is sweet, sensual and fun to be with? Yes, but not likely.

I had a similar email conversation with a "busty redhead from RI" who advertises on CL. Claims to have many reviews, but none on TER. Then she admonishes me for relying on them, and says she has many regulars. OK sweetie, but I aint bitin' without reviews from TER.
