A similar thing happened to me a couple years back-I saw a provider in SF. Someone hacked her email a couple months later, got her address book/distribution list, and threatened to "expose" all of us. We collectively told this person fo f-- off, and that we would track them down if they persisted-we never heard from them again.

I was a huge fan of VGF-I'm gonna check my old email as well....

Anyone getting e-mail from someone claiming to have VGF client list and looking for money?? If so pm me.

Tell him to go F-him self.

Do you think that person remembers the woman who was put in jail last year for blackmailing a guy?

Keep open the possibility that it's your wife or someone else close to you. A scorned woman wouldn't hesitate to do it.

Save the email and hire a computer guy to track it. They can easily find the IP address it's coming from. I was receiving threatening emails so I posted an ad under cl gigs and got a shitload of responses. It was tracked all the way to India. The culprit is a computer expert who new how to take steps to block his IP, and they still found him.

Good luck

VGF doesn't exist anymore. Without a police bust the list, even if this person has it, means nothing. It's a list of names for a non entity. Without corroborating evidence it means nothing. No one from LE is going to bother with it.

Oh I totally agree. Just she said something that identifies a former VGF girls location that concerns me.

were you a member of their yahoo group? (i'm pretty sure they had one.) pretty easy to grab e-mail addresses there and to figure out locations, etc.

t/c

Again, being on this list does not prove anything.  Anyone with an internet connection could join the Y-group.  One did not have to do business with VGF to join.

I was on the yahoo group but under a different  e-mail address. So I'm still not sure how I was contacted. The UR address is from another state

I was told that VGF doesn't keep records.  ???

From my experiences with Sonny I would agree.

I would have to agree with Mauze, it sounds as though your significant other may know a little more than you think.
Think about it, she probably has access to your computer, and has decided to make you sweat a little bit.

I was on my laptop getting these messages with my wife on the couch in the same room watching TV. Nice theory but not the case

If she mistrusts you, even a little, it could still be her. If she were to dig deep enough she could find out anything. There is always the chance a friend or a private dick could be in on it. She could figure that if you get these emails when she's there, you won't suspect her. Send an email profusely denying it, just in case it's her. Then hire a computer wiz to track it. You can then take your revenge, call the police, or whatever.

No I don't think this is his wife, I received something similar. Celtic check your PM.

It's not a nigerian scam. It looks like a Independent formerly with VGF had her email hacked into.
